I hate to say it, and I’ll be the first to admit my standards for this kind of thing are lower than most, but this room was so bad that I checked out and got another room somewhere else 10 minutes after seeing it. The room wasn’t advertised as having a hostel-style shared bathroom and entry space, but I figured it was fine as long as the bathroom door locked - but it didn’t, and that’s just hugely gross and unsafe. The individual bedroom door wouldn’t reliably lock about 70% of the time either, getting stuck constantly. The smoke detectors were all ripped out, none of the outlets worked, the lights flickered, the surfaces were dirty, the bed was gross, and the bedroom itself was barely big enough to spread both your arms out in without hitting either wall. The low price and the comically Mr. Krabs-ian “NO REFUNDS” signage posted repeatedly should have tipped me off, but it’s just ridiculous they would leave even a budget room in this state and expect someone not to balk. I was prepared for a little discomfort so I could save money, but the safety issues that just kept mounting the more I looked were dealbreaking. I lost money in my attempt to save money; the clerk took pity on me and gave my $40 damage deposit back, which I do really appreciate, but their boss wouldn’t let them give me the rest, which is just silly as I was “checked in” for a total of 15 minutes (the clerk hadn’t even finished putting my info in the system by the time I called it quits). Avoid this place!
