"This hotel was very clean and updated. I stayed in the Hayward building, there are no elevators in that building and it is 3 floors, just an FYI. The bartender at the bar on site was lovely, food and service was great. The bed was comfy. The hotel seemed pretty quiet which was nice."

Cottage Grove Inn

"The Cottage Inn feels more local than well-known chains. Less formal, little pretension, very personable staff, clean and well-maintained. Local places can have some downsides, however. The morning breakfast included coffee that was so burnt I couldn't swallow it. And our empty room refrigerator smelled like a sewer inside. My husband had a reaction to something (perhaps something used to clean the room or to wash the towels?) that definitely impacted his impression of our stay. I would stay there again; not sure he would."
