"The rooms while the bedding was nice and clean .. the room floors and bathroom were not. The floor was so dirty and had not been mopped in a while. The location is wonderful. "

"The Staff very nice upon check in and accommodating. The property is old/outdated. The bed was somewhat comfortable, everything in room worked like it should. Linens on bed clean, had a long hair on bath towel. A/C worked fine, on outside unit the cover was broken. Property needs a good power wash and painting and grounds need some attention, the photos are a bit misleading. Room drywall needs repair. Very close to downtown and foutain of youth is right behind property. Peacocks quack pretty loud in AM. On a budget this motel is worth a stay, but it was a bit much for what we paid. Upon check out I had asked front desk if we could stay parked on property to take trolley for an hr or so, lady said no. Not a big deal, trolley is right around corner and had parking. Now that we know the lay of the land. Would we stay here again? Yes, but it would need to be about $75 a night, not $200 plus. Breakfast was satisfactory; liquid eggs and boiled looking sausage links. About same as a budget motel. Not the Embassy Suits breakfast. Location is great! Staff accommodating upon check in. Trolly runs through the property, so you get the guy on megaphone talking about historical information. "

"The first room they gave me when I walked through the door I could immediately smell a Musky or moldy kind of smell so I went down to the receptionist and asked for different room which they gave me without a problem. That room was definitely a lot better as far as air quality. Overall you can tell that this hotel is pretty old especially when you look at the shower and bathtub the shower heads Etc are completely oxidated. My biggest problem was the cleanliness. I walked on the floors without shoes or socks for a moment and it was disgusting because I immediately could feel either sand or dust or crumbs or whatever it was sticking to my feet. The little desk they have in there head something sticky crusty on there which was also very disgusting. Check out the picture of my socks which I put on after I realized that my feet are getting dirty and that there is dirt stuff on the floor I posted a picture of them and also a picture of the Crusty residue on the desk. The blanket had some weird little stains on there not sure what it was but I think the place in general could have been a lot cleaner. Sure we can blame all of this to the age of the place but if the cleaning staff would do a better job I wouldn't be giving this kind of review. Two positive things I have to remark is that the place is surprisingly quiet considering that it is very close to the highway and the other thing I want to remark is that the beds are pretty comfortable."

"clean room, friendly staff. pets stay free. def recommend. ac also works amazingly (at least in room 259!!). had a poor experience at a other hotel and had to find one quickly. anyone that’s been to or lives in st augustine knows durning spring break, you cannot get a hotel last minute. they had only a few rooms left! i thank all of the friendly staff here for getting us in last minute! The bed was very uncomfortable, at times the room would be very hot. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the staff either. They would see you but not acknowledge or greet you, which felt unwelcoming. The breakfast was also disappointing, the food looked reheated and not fresh at all. Overall, this was not a great experience, and I would probably pass on staying here again.
