Room was updated and clean. Staff was amazing as always (stayed here before, will stay again on next visit) . Location across street from beach, and trolley stop directly across as well. Minutes from downtown area as well.

Overall premises are in conditions. Building is old, not well maintained . Lack of paint and dirty. They dont offer coffee to the renters. They dont have extra beds to rent. They dont have any extras to offer customers like toothbrushes that we forgot and asked front desk. They very rude told us they don't do that mam. Also one of the reasons we picked the hotel on Expidia was because it offered free breakfaston the website. And when we got to the hotel to do the check in front desk informed us that they dont do free breakfast since 2019. They false advertise on the site to get customers to reserved their rooms. Also they advertised smoke free building and they have sand full of cigarettes on every corners of the hotel. Overall the stay was not pleasant, it is not a pleasant hotel to spend time with your family and it is not up to the times we are living in. The owners definitely need to upgrade to our times and make it a better stay for a place that is so well located next to the beaches.

The property is not beachfront; you need to walk about one block to reach the beach. The area is very pleasant for walking, and I felt safe during my stay. One small suggestion would be for the front desk staff to be more welcoming. Also, when I called with a question, I felt my concern was not fully addressed before the call ended.

The room was great. However, there was no soap/bath gel or shampoo. This hotel does not offer a breakfast of any kind which was the biggest disappointment.

I booked this months ago. I am a hairstylist and I have a Bride tomorrow. On Expedia website it says pay later, pay at the hotel. I drove all the way from Orlando when I got here they said my reservation was canceled. When I asked them why they said they ran my card and it declined. I keep my card locked for security reasons and also I thought I was going to pay at the hotel anyways like I usually do with pay later. They said they called me which they did. I missed the call around 5:13 PM. I got there around 7:15 PM and my reservation was already canceled. I’ve never had this happen before and I travel often. Usually most hotels hold off till about 10 or 11 PM to cancel someone’s reservation. If check-in is after 3 PM, give people time to come in and you never know where they’re coming from. They told me they called the third-party and canceled my reservation, which is Expedia. Expedia has no notes or record of that. They are a private establishment so I’m sure they do what they want. Not to mention the lady at the desk was very very rude and I wasn’t even rude to them. They then told me everything was sold out, and that’s my problem since my card declined and I didn’t answer the phone. I had to find another hotel another 45 minutes away from where I needed to be for the wedding tomorrow. Never again.

The fridge had no control knob, and it was off. They "don't do lids" on the ice bucket. The water at the sink was slightly more that a trickle when wide open. A block from the beach was nice, and the room was clean.

Bathroom was very small. Beds were very hard to sleep on and I had to buy a thick bed cover to even sleep on the bed.. Cleaning staff seem to lack Public Relations and had attitudes except for one that worked there and I know she knows who she is...:) We want to thank her for being very accommodating to us! We need more people in the world with her Love and Unserstanding !

we had a great time staff was friendly the hotel was clean a lot of places to eat and beach is right in front of hotel 3 min walk we plan on coming here again soon, St. Augustine is beautiful.
