Beach was very clean with water clear and beautiful. Very quiet. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast. It was around 10:30am and took an hour for a party of two to get our food. The food itself was good. I forgot my blow dryer in room and they kindly kept at the front desk for me to pick up.

I loved the beach at emerald, if it was between this and margaritaville I’d choose emerald again simply for the beach- no seaweed unlike the other stinky side of the island. Rooms were clean too and view from balcony is wonderful. The downside is there’s really nothing next to the resort so mostly taxi everywhere. When we went the cafe was not open the whole time even though they advertise it so that was disappointing. The food options are limited but it was good, just pricey which is expected for resort food. The drinks aren’t that great, prob better off keeping a bottle in your room and making your own for the beach. They also told us at the front desk taxis run all night but they do NOT, so beware about being out past 8pm on this island. Most days we were able to get fresh towels but on a Saturday morning they told me they didn’t have any clean because they didn’t do laundry which I found it weird you didn’t do laundry before the busiest day. Overall I would stay here again.

I loved the convenience of right on the beach. Very walkable. Just wish that there was a variety of cuisines at the resort. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again.

This is a solid 3-star hotel with friendly bar staff and right on the beach and you can walk 1/2 mile from baggage claim to the hotel. Breakfast and lunch is good and you skip the $9 each way per person to go to town. Pool is also good. Rooms while undergoing some renovations (bathrooms) need a further update. AC worked great, ocean view, only negative was lack of beach towels and noisy cleaning staff / it won’t be the roosters or sound of ocean that will wake you! If you have heavy bags request a ground floor - no elevators. I’ve been staying here for over 25 yrs off and on st the beginning or end of a longer stay on STJ or BVI and it makes the first and last day a lot less of a hassle!

The beach is excellent. You can walk to the resort from the airport or take short taxi. The food at the restaurant is very good. Just be prepared for long time to get drinks and food. For breakfast, it took 45 minutes from when we were seated to get bottled water and menu. But the food is very good and the beach has no seaweed.

The area I lovely and quiet. The staffing was not rude but they seem to get annoyed quite easily. Finally I recommend renting a car. With your stay. You are far way from everything local. You pay a lot in taxi and vi hail services

Property is dated and dirty. Only one food option that is very expensive. Shower head had mold. Fan didn’t work. Pool was dirty. I thought this was a private resort not the case. Loads of people came by boats and were allowed to use facilities which made it extremely crowded. I don’t recommend this resort.

We have stayed here several times since the early 2000’s. This was our first time back in several years Pool was too dirty to want to get in it, dead potted plants around the pool, holes in the roof of the building. It’s a shame they’ve let it decline like this. Emerald Beach has always been one of my favorite places on earth.

The staff really made us feel like a burden to them, not friendly or welcoming at all. The bedding was not clean, the water would not get hot. Food was not very good. The ocean was the only benefit of the entire stay.
