Air and pool were great. MANY stairs..quite a climb would not recommend for older people or with any disability. Close to good restaurants and markets.

The Galleon House is so quaint and authentic, that we wouldn’t have stayed anywhere else! It is definitely a hike up a hill of steps, which fits into the location perfectly. The room was clean with a great balcony, air conditioning, adequate amenities for an island getaway, perfect options for continental breakfast with nice strong coffee, a refreshing pool, beautiful flora with lizards and a kittie mascot welcoming us each morning, a great central location, and very helpful, wonderful staff. Our favorite aspects of the room included a comfortable bed and pillows and a fantastic shower. We found the tile comfortable and water flow so refreshing and superior to many large chain establishments. This gem is truly an island experience that we will cherish!

Air conditioning was great and shower was always hot. It’s not your luxury hotel experience but for the location in town and the price it’s a phenomenal choice for a vacation on St Thomas. Staff was incredibly nice and it was nice they provide pool and beach towels. The included breakfast isn’t very substantial and the only microwave is in the common area. Those are the only things you should be aware of. Fantastic property. Parking can be difficult on certain days but it seems everybody on the island parks wherever they please. You don’t have designated spots and are competing with locals for spots sometimes. I parked illegally a few times and nobody cared so just be ready for that.

Property was very quaint, the staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the amenities were appropriate for the property. The pool was small but very nice providing a view of the hills surrounding St. Thomas and overlooking the town itself. It was within walking distance of just about everything that we wanted to see. The room was small, not posh, but very clean and comfortable. It was exactly what we were looking for in our breif layover in St. Thomas and we will be back when we can spend a little more time exploring the US Virgin Islands.

Clean room that is in need of someTLC. The Pool is beautiful and so is the view from the patio where continental breakfast is available. The staff is very helpful. AC works great when there is not a power outage, which happens about 2 hours per day. Shower worked and there is bar soap and shampoo along with towels. The property feels safe, with a gate that is locked 8-8pm. Location is good if you want to be downtown and walk to the many jewelry and gift shops. Not sure if there is parking at the hotel because our car rental fell through due to our flight arriving late (they do not hold car reservations at the airport rental agencies) but you can get a taxi to take you anywhere. Taxis cost a lot. Bring lots of cash because that’s all they take!

It’s was an okay stay. The air worked just fine when there was power being that they run off solar panels, the parking was a little struggle one being on a hill and also other business parking in the same area. Again it was not horrible the location was perfect just too man steps just to get to your room and the parking.

For what we paid, it was fine. Room was clean and had a great view. Breakfast was ok, not stupendous. Luckily, they had umbrellas - to rent! $5! - to get to dinner. The pool was nice. However, no one mentioned the steps. This hotel is carved out of old structures that climb up the hill - and you must too! In a trip up to the lobby, then out to lunch and back to our room and then the pool and back and finally to dinner, we had climbed the equivalent of an 18-story building! (Not counting the two steps down into our shower...) (Ah, but we could see St. Croix from our balcony!!)

Parking was challenging. It was many steps to walk up and the entrance was difficult to locate. The staff seemed crabby and everything was in a mild state of disrepair. On the other hand, we were given a room with a breathtaking view, and we enjoyed the adventure. It was fine for the price! .

stair climb is no joke. Property is locally owned and they are working hard to repair following Irma, Maria, and a recent death in the family. They successfully do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Every other positive review comment is accurate.
