Wonderful stay. The seasonal seaweed flock smell was awful, preventing dining by the water, but out of your control. Appreciated the no extra fee for use of the washing machine and dryer. Loved seeing the stray chickens, cats, and dogs, that visited daily. Please get the cats and dogs vaccinated for their well being and client safety.

The TV never operated our entire 10 day stay. Our air conditioning went out and they tried to put us in a less valued room until we fought for a better room

The island is absolutely beautiful! This hotel is a JOKE! I wouldn’t recommend staying there. TVs didn’t work our entire stay. Couldn’t get bags from room after waiting 45 minutes just carried down flights of stairs ourselves. Lots of amenities were not working. Ice machines, golf carts, tvs ( was told has b en out for awhile and just not fixed) The smell is absolutely horrible by the lobby and lower pool. I would try finding else where to stay. Even one of the employees told us the property has gone to crap and nothing gets fixed. Also complaining to the staff doesn’t help. Called several times about things not working and still nothing!

The sargassum was stinky & there was no tv connection all week. The microwave took 5-10 minutes to heat up something as tiny as a cup of coffee. There was no complementary water.

Our family stayed here for 10 days and we loved it. The sargassum does cause a bit of a bad odor but we weren't at the hotel during the day so it really wasn't a problem for us. We love that you can walk fro the resort over to Coki Beach which is a fabulous beach with restrooms, food and drinks. The staff was wonderful and our room was perfect with the full size refrigerator, coffee pot, sink and microwave.

DO NOT STAY HERE DURING SEAWEED SEASON – BE WARNED! We stayed here over the July 4th long weekend and were absolutely shocked by the conditions. The smell from the seaweed was unbearable. We couldn't enjoy the beach at all, and the stench was so overwhelming it made eating at the restaurant and even swimming in the main pool an unpleasant experience. What’s worse – the water in our bathroom and shower also smelled rotten. Brushing our teeth and showering was disgusting. Our tongue turned black from bacteria! When we got home, we felt so sick we needed antibiotics for a bacterial infection. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but we spent each day leaving the resort just to escape the awful conditions. The resort’s response? A measly $50 in Expedia points. Guest Services manager Rae White was completely unapologetic and offered no real compensation. Please read the reviews before booking. If you’re planning a trip during the seaweed season, avoid this place at all costs!

The property was great however there was no TV our entire stay. My other issue was the shuttle stopped running at 11pm. We had to walk to our room which was on a high hill. The walk after a long night was terrible.

Margarita machine did not work, roaches in the hotel, beach was dirty and could not be used and only 1 restaurant on the premises. Overall ST Thomas is high for everything including transportation!!!! Would not go back!!

In the right conditions, it would be excellent. However, the awful smell of the untreated Sargassum is unbearable. Once you’re in the area of the lobby, it takes over. Including the main pool/restaurant couldn’t stay more than 10 minutes because it was so bad, so I couldn’t do any of the activities on that side of the resort. Additionally, for the three nights I was there, the tv did not work. Other than that, workers were pleasant and helpful, room was great.

We arrived to the property and the property had horrible sea grass smell. Our room was dirty when we arrived and was told that cleaning was done. Our bed had hair on the sheets and sand. They sent new bed sheets and left them outside. The wristband daily wouldn’t work so we always had to go and fix it. The power went out for 4 hours. The tv and WiFi didn’t work for 5 days. The kitchen would always closed early because the fryers didn’t work they broke kitchen burned food and quality was horrible, the service was always with horrible attitude. We had a roach problem in our room and they sent a roach spray. The ice machine and fridge wasn’t working. They don’t do room cleaning just take old towels, so we would need to use pool towels to use daily. The pool lights didn’t work I. The evening very dangerous. Our bathroom lights worked when they wanted and exhaust fan broken. Our air conditioning broke 3 times at night. When we would call to the receptionist we would get attitude and said we would need to put the complain with Expedia. The tiles in the bathroom broken and we was scared to get cut. The property is no sanitize, safe or anywhere at the price we paid for. This is hazardous and not sanitized. Not safe at all. Oh yea and the room phone doesn’t work so you would need to go down the hill to fix the wristband daily and complain about all the things happening.

The resort itself was very nice. The restaurant is ok, nothing great. It wasn’t exactly enjoyable but it wasn’t awful. The smell, omg the smell !!! So we were aware that they have a seaweed problem this time of year, but one of our taxi drivers told us that it’s their fault. They do not actually take care of the beach on the resort. They let the seaweed just pile up. Even after “cleaning”. They just make piles of seaweed and leave it there and I promise it really is a unbearable. We did everything we could to stay off the resort because of the smell. Also, when you check in, they will pressure you to attend a presentation, which at the time they didn’t tell us was a sales presentation so we went. When you decline what they are offering they will try to pressure you to buy and make you feel horrible. My husband and I had such a bad experience at that presentation. They literally told us “we can’t just let you leave”. We’re on OUR va that we paid for and they try to hold you hostage there until you buy. Eventually we left with no issue and got to enjoy the rest of our vacation. That presentation and the smell from the beach is enough to assure we will NEVER stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. We will definitely visit the island again just never staying here again.

Really loved it, will definitely come back. Had a little issue with the room key the ck out day, the disactivated the key 1 hour before ck out time but everything else was great

The staff were wonderful, helpful and attentive. The room sizes were large and I love the little kitchenette. However, I’ll never stay here again. There is no beach. It is closed due to Sargassum, which is in every way pervasive. You cannot be outside and cannot breathe near the lobby, restaurant and main pool. The smell radiates through the air and invades your respiratory system. Every day we stayed there, I couldn’t wait to get in a cab and leave to go elsewhere on the island. I stayed there with my two teenage daughters, and will never return. You live and learn—I do think there should be a statement about the impact of sargassum on the description of the hotel because it feels dishonest not to let potential guests know how it impacts their stay and experience.
