Greeted on our arrival by the lovely hosts Rebecca and Shaun. Rooms were amassing. We were in the Belvedere Room - it was presented beautifully! Spacious, lovely view out to the bay, luxurious touches, fantastic shower, comfortable bed and delicious hot breakfast prepared for us. Walking distance to restaurants, penguins and shops. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommend

It was perfect, a quiet clean room after a day of driving from Hobart to Stanley via Queenstown in pretty wet weather. Perfect. Outstanding views from our window, nice touch in the bathroom with the hair straightener and the perfume.

Very nice B&B in scenic, peaceful town of Stanley. Rhonda & Chris are gracious hosts who provide excellent service and maintain the facility in pristine condition. The amenities are modern and the tasty breakfast is served in a cozy dining room. We enjoyed our stay at The Ark and would have loved to stay longer

Property and facilities were excellent and our hosts made settling in very easy and homely. Breakfast was excellent, home grown ingredients. Stanley and The Ark are a must visit.

Enjoyed our one night stay at the Ark, room was large and clean. You can walk to the hotel for dinner in seven minutes.

This cute house is easy walking distance to everything. We saw penguins hiding in the rocks straight across the road. The owners Chris & Rhonda cooked us a beautiful breakfast and chatted easily to us in their kitchen while they cooked. The upstairs admiral room is huge with great views overlooking the water. Loved our 2N stay there and loved our complimentary bottle of wine for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Dave & Krissy Qld

Disappointing Host

Whilst the room and breakfast was pleasant we had difficulty with the host, Rhonda. She seemed unfriendly towards us and was unhappy with us not booking directly through her. On our last night we asked if we could have access to the continental breakfast a bit early and 2 eggs at 8.00am and we would bring our own tea and coffee, as we had to get the hire car back or pay for another days hire. When we arrived at breakfast at 7.50 am the door was locked. It wasn't opened until after 8.00am and then two other guests were given their full breakfast with everything before we were given our two eggs. I believe this was done deliberately.

Awesome spot

Stanley is a very pretty place well worth the trip. The ark Stanley is quality, very well appointed with everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Excellent location and very friendly hosts who cook you breakfast and make you feel at home. Highly recommend

We loved Chris and Rhonda- such amazing hosts. The inclusive breakfast was delicious. Rooms are big, bathroom beautiful with double shower. We will be back.

The owners were very helpful when I made a mistake in booking to fix the problem and even booked a table for us to ensure we had somewhere to eat due to large number of visitors to the area. The panoramic views from our upstairs room were great. I highly recommend this B&B.
