"Watermark is a very polished and nice place to stay for your trip whether its business or casual. The morning breakfast is diverse, the staff are always helpful, the ambients is where watermark captivates. The hotel sits above a building where the streets are beautiful and clean and the rooftop offers so much view and amenities as well. Wren a restaurant inside of the watermark hotel has some of the best cuisine hands down so please give your time to check it out!"

Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park

"This is a newly renovated Marriott, with rooms on the top floors advertised as having been the first to get modernized/spiffed up. The other floors are presumably soon to follow. Upon check-in, they give you the option of "upgrading" to one of the upper floor rooms for a $20/night fee. Not breaking the bank, but also enough that you'd hope the experience was at least justify the outlay. My experience was sadly left wanting. While the room did sport some modern aesthetics (graphic wall design), platform bed (with marshmallow soft mattress, in case you were expecting firmer), laminate flooring at the entryway, a couple West Elmy furnishings, one couldn't escape feeling this was the same basic room as before with a little low-fi gussying up. The big disappointment, however, was a shower that went from low-flow and lukewarm to completely crapping out and not running at all by day 3, my check-out day. The front desk attendant was pleasant enough to offer some bonus points to my account as a goodwill gesture. Which was fine, but there are clearly still some wrinkles to iron out as they bring these upgrades online. Overall, it's a Marriott, so you're getting a safe, clean, standardized experience. Would give it a solid 3 stars, with room for improvement."

"The front desk was so helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. My only disappointment was our experience in the restaurant. We ordered a tortilla chip trio. Tortilla chips with a trio of dips. When it came, the dips were in very small ramekins and the chips didn’t fit in them. We ran out of salsa, guac, and cheese dip before the chips. The other odd thing was the cheese dip was served cold."

"Just needed room for getting ready for a function so booked a small inexpensive room for a few hours. Was very surprised by the run down property in middle of upscale area and across from Jaguar dealership. Wasn't expecting much but was unable to stay in room due to strong smell of smoke even though was told entire hotel non-smoking. I have severe allergy to smoke and my husband is asthmatic. We left and will not use them again. Front desk was nice but likely not enforcing the non-smoking. Rooms had dirty carpet and stain on chair. Comforter worn."

"One star. Stayed May 23-27, 2026, and the billing experience was the worst I’ve encountered at any hotel. I booked through Expedia, where no destination fee was disclosed. When I saw a $114.24 “amount due at property” charge, I called the hotel five separate times before arrival to ask what it covered. Five different agents. Not one could explain it. I asked specifically what I’d owe at check-in beyond what I’d paid Expedia, and got no clear answer. At the front desk in person, I was told they didn’t know and to “call accounting.” Their own staff couldn’t explain a mandatory line-item charge on my bill. I was given no amenities list, no orientation, and no way to use anything the $25/night destination fee supposedly covered. On my final night, I called to address the charge. I was hung up on twice and left on hold for over 15 minutes. After freezing my card, my bank notified me the hotel attempted a $500 charge — which appears nowhere on the itemized folio they gave me. The folio shows $140 marked settled. There are also two $75 pre-authorization holds. I have documented every interaction and disputed the charges with my bank. I made every reasonable attempt, through Expedia and the hotel directly, to understand what I was being charged for. I was met with silence, deflection, or staff who couldn’t answer basic questions about their own fees. Future travelers: book elsewhere, or lock your card and document everything. I will never stay here again."
