"Room clean "

"Room was clean which is the most important thing to me. Staff tried in every way to be helpful. There are a couple suggestions: 1. Desk in room needs lamp, preferably with outlets built into it. 2. Full body mirror outside of bathroom needed lighting. Mirror in daughters' room also was placed on a wall that lacked lighting. 3. On a sold out weekend, one of the elevators wasn't operating, causing very long, and very inconvenient waits. 4. The hotel drop-off semi-circle at entrance was a blocked mess, by cars, by valet parked cars, and by buses. And it was pouring rain! This situation needed hotel staff to take charge, to direct the traffic jam, because it caused patrons an long wait to unload luggage or to seek parking off site, then drag their luggage through the drenching rain. "

"Charming, historical hotel. My room was big, high ceillings, very comfortable bed, pillows, and comforter. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. There was a parking lot. The neighborhood is full of old trees and beautiful historic homes including the home, a Natiinal Site, where Teddy Roosevelt was inaugurated after President McKinley died. The hotel was centrally located a short bus ride, uber or 20 minute walk to the Buffalo Convention Center, a 20 minute walk or short bus ride to Elwood Village and a short bus ride to the AKG art museum. Walgreens is right next door and Starbucks is after that. Great experience. Unique hotel if you appreciate history. "

"I had booked a double room with two beds when we checked in we were given a room with one king size bed. When going to the front desk and ask them about it they said they didn’t know why that happened even though it shows on the system, we booked a double. However they were fully booked for the night. After going back-and-forth for a while, we were offered a pullout bed, which is completely painful. After asking if somebody would make up the bed for us, the gentleman at the front desk asked if we wanted him to do it. Apparently, he was the only one working in the hotel. We were not offered a refund for the night. We were told that the next day they will see if they can put us in a different room. nobody bothered to try to reach out to us until we went back to the front desk to ask. This is completely unacceptable as I had made this reservation months prior. When we wanted to check out late, we were only given one extra hour, even though they could’ve made an exception. So we ended up leaving early."
