"I’ve been traveling throughout Japan and Asia for a while now, and found that this hotel charged WAY more for laundry than others I’ve been to. Typically I spend ¥100/¥100 for wash and dry, here it was ¥400/¥200 for the exact laundry machines. That’s more than double the cost (definitely milking the amenities). Also, the day of check out I had housekeeping knock on the door at 9am even when I had the do not disturb on the door and check out was 11am. Another thing I didn’t like was they don’t allow you to eat outside food in the lounge/dining area. I bought a bagel as I didn’t get the breakfast package because it’s too early for my liking. But I was told not to have food in the lounge/breakfast area where there was only one other person. FYI, I was having coffee from their free coffee area (so ok to drink but not eat outside food in an empty space). I know Japan has rules but this is just a made up one by a hotel that is a bit ridiculous, because I wasn’t going to use plates or cause them to clean. In any case, the last day really tainted my stay.
Location is a little further than I had wanted to be from the Peace park by foot (25 mins), but given I was only there for 4 days it was ok."
