"My biggest issue with the hotel was at no fault of the staff. It is located in East New York Brooklyn, one of the top five crime areas of NYC. I had no issues, but made it a point to return to the room by sundown. It was very close to the subway, so that was very convenient and helped me feel a little safer. My only concern was the breakfast offered. Premade sealed breakfast sandwiches you heat in the microwave and bagels that seemed like they were from a grocery store when the hotel could (should)source delicious pastries and bagels from the many fine local bakeries and bagel shops in their neighborhood, keeping with their upscale vibe.
