"The front lobby was nice, until I went to sit on one of couches and almost landed on floor, it was like there was maybe 1 inch of cushion. I had cancelled original room and got another, less expensive, but forgot to ask about ocean view, i mentioned that at front desk when i got there and nice man said he would upgrade to room with 2 queen beds, but the view was black rooftop, horrible. The room itself was quite weird, u can only see TV from one bed the other faced wall and bathroom, who would design it that way?. While bathroom seemed clean the counter could use some paint, numerous chipping. More bath towels would hv been nice. The elevator was bit scary, could used update. Door to room didn't seem quite right as u can see light from hallways from top, sides and bottom of door, strange. Walls paper thin. Overall while front desk was kind and respectful, sadly I cannot recommend this hotel. Only to recommend, upgrades to building."

Hotel Mint JFK Airport

"We stayed at this hotel because of a last minute trip and a 12 hour layover for a flight. Orbitz says the hotel is 3.1 miles from JFK when it is actually a 7 mile trip and 20+ minutes. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood. They offer rooms for different hourly rates, you figure out why. The bed was comfortable, the staff was helpful. I would not stay there again."

The Freeport Inn and Marina

8/10 Good

"The rooms were decent and had a good amount of space in them. It is only one of two motels we saw in Freeport. They said they had coffee and a breakfast. Nothing was set up in the lobby, rather if you asked for coffee, they would make you a cup and perhaps at request you’d get some type of continental breakfast but nothing obvious to help yourself."
