Best Western Inn & Suites San Diego – Zoo/SeaWorld Area

10/10 Excellent

"The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was lacking. We were on the second floor and it shouldn't of been so low. The breakfast is very nice and lots to choose from! The jacuzzi was nice and clean and perfect for a day after going to SeaWorld. CON: parking is $26 a day and wish we would of used the street parking. Such a ridiculous charge when you're paying to stay there!"

"If I could rate this hotel zero stars I would. There’s no way it should be considered a premier hotel. For starters there was only one working elevator for a 14 floor building so many people like myself had to use the stairs because when the elevator would finally come to you it would be full. I was on the 6th floor and it was very inconvenient to have to go up and down every time to get to my room. The room looked like they shined up a turd, there was nothing nice about it. It smelled like someone had smoked in it before and you could hear everything through the walls and outside. It sounded like the window was open it was so loud during the night. The staff were not helpful or friendly and the pool looked like something from a motel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially considering it was 180$ a night."

"We stayed in Tower B, and the main issue for us was the noise. On Sunday there was a marathon near the convention center, and we could hear everything being said over the microphones very clearly from our room. We feel like staying in the other tower or upgrading the room might have helped with the noise level. Other than that, the staff was friendly, and the hotel itself is in a great, walkable location near the Gaslamp Quarter and the waterfront."

"They will charge you a destination fee of $39 just to eat there before you even order the food. Also, we found mold on two of our pillows as well as the bed linen. I tried contacting them about all this and they said there was nothing they could do. Piss poor customer service, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else and definitely don’t eat there. Will not stay there again at this or any other Omni hotel."
