Very cool historical hotel. We loved it. The grounds are beautiful and the old downtown area has nice local restaurants. Nice place to stay.

The overall stay was fantastic! The building itself was very historical and cool to stay in with awesome rooms. I’d highly recommend anyone making a trip out to Virginia to stay here.

A unique repurpose of an existing historic structure that is walkable to town. However, you need to be able to walk the hill in addition to any town walking you do. Everyone is wonderful. Hanna from bistro, housekeeping, front of house all staff were awesome. Again, unique and wonderful.

We loved our stay at the Blackburn Inn. The check in was seamless and the representative was extremely professional and very pleasant. Our only issue was that the floors themselves are pretty noisy when walking across them as well as the noise from the floors above. When we go back, which we will for sure, we will request a room on a higher floor.

It's an amazing place to stay with interesting history. Everyone was very accommodating as we were traveling with an 85 pound dog.

Highly recommended. One of my favorite hotel stays of all time. You'll feel like you're in a Jane Austen novel. Perfect for a romantic getaway. It's a historic building, grand and gorgeous. The room felt rustic but with modern touches. Large rainfall shower. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is extra, will run you about $12-$20 per person in 2024. Not a big menu and we chose to eat at a local bakery called Réunion (amazing coffee & pastries!) which is a 10 min walk from the hotel, a couple of mins by car. There's a convenient parking lot on your left as you enter the historic downtown, only takes quarters at 75 cents per hour. There's free parking elsewhere but the paid lot is easy to access. The walk from the hotel to the downtown is short but not the safest at night as the sidewalks are narrow and you're walking close to cars. If you're lucky, you're in town for a play at the Shakespeare Center! Parking is free at the hotel. The main feature of the hotel is a spiral staircase. If you're fit to walk the steps, make sure you go to the top and enjoy the view! Only two suggestions for the hotel: - include more regular coffee pods in the room; happy to see a Keurig but only had one regular coffee pod, two decaf pods and one green tea - get the thermostat to stop blinking. This will only bother you if you're on the sofa bed, not noticeable from the bed itself. Dreamy hotel that I hope to return to one day. Glad I visited Staunton for this experience!

Beauriful historic remodeled well kept historic property. Staff was amazing. Rooms were great. Only bad can say is the original 100 year old knotty pine floor squeezed a lot. Great stay and will be back.

We loved the Blackburn Inn for our girls weekend. The property is beautiful! Staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Rooms had a separate sitting area with a sofa/bed and television in addition to the television in the bedroom ( which would be nice for children). The renovation done to this historic property is fabulous while preserving the Jeffersonian look that Blackburn had in mind originally. I can’t wait to come again this spring to see the weeping willow trees and the flowers in bloom.

I've been coming to Staunton Va. multiple times and have found a new favorite spot. If you appreciate, beautiful views of the Staunton hill side. And you appreciate architecture preservation and craftsmen work you no longer see, this is your place. It was a nice touch to be approached by the owner introducing himself at breakfast and having a casual conversation. Close and convenient to everything Staunton with much to offer for a niche retro town experience. So glad the area is not bull dozing and franchise building the historic architecture. Well done.

I love how beautiful the Blackburn Inn is. The property is huge, close (but far enough away) from the highway, and inexpensive. My husband and I have stayed here before I made this reservation. We said we wanted to go back. So, I booked again. The historical opulence of this place is amazing. One night I stayed in a small room, but a second night I splurged on a bit bigger room and they were both awesome. Again, the value is amazing! The mountains are so pretty too.

Nice spot in a cool building.
My room was very nice but my coffee maker didn't work. I called to get it fixed and was told someone would come and fix it for by my second morning since I had to leave at 4am - no one ever did. Other than that, the parking is easy, virtual key is great. I only saw one staff member in the hall she was very nice. Nice property and third time staying there while visiting friends.
