"The superior cabin was a joined double cabin with a locked door between the two. We could clearly hear the people talking in the room next to us. For that price point I expected something a bit more private, maybe a stand alone cabin. No wardrobe with any usable space, just a small open hanging area and these long tiny mantle type shelves. We stored our suitcases in the living area. It felt a bit budget for the price. The kitchen accessories were very basic.
It did have a nice big smart tv with good internet, very large double door fridge with cold water, modern bathrooms, good heating and cooling, nice outdoor patio with bbq. It was very clean and felt brand new. Modern grounds, well kept and felt well managed. It had a great family atmosphere too. "
"Loved our stay at Green Gables! It’s a classic property that’s been looked after perfectly. The staff there is super polite and helped us out with everything we needed. A great experience all around!"
"I Wouldn’t say it would be an issue to other people but, being told about the water is brown due to the rainforest conditions 30m before arrival made us questions ourselves especially it not being advertised on the website and on the booking/checkin instructions, we hesitated to drink water from the tap and were only given 2 water bottles which made the situation more dire, place was ok for clean the dinning chair pillows were stained and smelly, the carpet had a decently sized stain and was stinking, we were told the place received a bit of renovation and yeah they don’t bother covering up or patching the plaster holes they left behind and the scratches on the wall, aircon was outdated and required further thorough inspection, the spa bath jets were all stained and the spa floor had a few spots on it indicating it wasn’t cleaned prior to the last guess leaving, abhi was good until we told him about the issues and tried requesting a refund, he called us in the morning to just literally rinse and repeat the same words for 6 minutes, he wouldn’t let us speak until I told him to stop.
All issue aside the place location was top tier, the views are immaculate from the deck outside, privacy was a nice touch to add to the place, but sadly whatever’s advertised is what the place looked like before the new owners came in, biggest problem is the place has changed a significant amount to what is advertised and the old photos of it will make u book it, please look at recent photos before"
