"The property is not a hotel. There is no reception and no service is provided at the property. You rent a room. There is no air conditioning and it was very hot. Our room was in the 4th floor and there is no elevator after the 3rd floor. The ceilings in our room were slanted both in the bathroom and bedroom and it is hard to avoid hitting the ceiling. The location also is not ideal."

"I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The customer service was among the worst I have experienced. Several staff members were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen to guest concerns. Whenever I tried to explain an issue, I felt that I was immediately dismissed and even accused of being dishonest rather than being treated with respect and professionalism. "I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Europe in Lucerne (May 29-June 1, 2026) . The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and my room offered a beautiful view that made it a pleasure to return after a day of walking the Old Towne (about 15 minute walk from hotel). "Helaas voldeed Romantik Hotel Beau Rivage niet aan onze verwachtingen. Het hotel ligt mooi aan heg meer. Maar wordt matig onderhouden. Toen we aankwamen en vanwege de hitte een drankje wilde bestellen gaf het hiervoor aanwezige personeel aan dat we nog een half uurtje moesten wachten. Zij hadden namelijk pauze. Ook het driegangen diner waarvoor we voor twee personen meer dan 175 Zwitserse Franken moesten betalen voldeed absoluut niet aan de verwachtingen. Kortom een teleurstellende ervaring."
