"Thankfully left everything including my purse in the car, in order to check in and check the room. Found bed bugs with one turn of the corner sheet on the bed, and we walked out immediately. Entire facility was shabby, and dirty. Even the outside of the hotel was unkempt with messy landscaping, weeds and overgrown. Staff was courteous and gladly agreed to a refund."

"Room was immaculate, most comfy bed in a hotel setting I have had. Plenty of pillows and a five star bathroom. Housekeeping was spot on and very polite in the halls in the am times. They do a great job. Food at two of the four was good, one other very overpriced, and the last was just terrible. Hospitality was aboundant and staff eager to help in the hotel, golf course, and casino. Will return again soon!"

"My wife has been coming to Oglebay for the majority of her life and for her it’s become a tradition to visit. I have only been to the property twice and although I think it is very nice, improvements need to be made:
1. Both the indoor and outdoor pools need to be refurbished IMMEDIATELY! Both are gross! At a bare minimum, a fresh coat of paint would be helpful.
2. Carpeting throughout the entire resort needs replacing.
3. Some staff members are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Many are...
