Cari Chalet di Stockbridge

"Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. "High Street facing rooms are a bit noisy. The hotel provides ear plugs, but they are not the most comforable things to put on when you want to sleep. Need thicker double glazing. The shower also needs fixing: loose connections were causing the water to splash all over the place."

"L’ambiance du pub, accueillant."

"Really lovely room, older style, well priced hotel in the very centre of Andover. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Because the room was on the front, sadly, it was noisy at night - the Redbridge pub is open until 11pm most nights, midnight on Thursdays and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays !!!! Maybe request a room at the back of the hotel if you like a quieter night - but, of course, if you like a good night out why not join them! Thanks for a lovely stay."

"Some good, some bad... We arrived late in the evening and had a nice welcome. There were some petit fours in our room and it looked very attractive, if very cold. The bed and bed linen was good and the (small) bathroom attractively fitted out. But beneath the surface there are obvious problems. The foyer had a bad damp smell. "Very friendly staff who were very approachable."

"Staff was excellent. Food in restaurants were very good. Plenty of option and good portions"

"Excellent hotel. On site parking a bonus."

"Our room decor was very tired and tatty, the shower was no more than warm, the plug in the sink was broken and the shower had no hand held wand so you had to get wet all over. The bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok."

"Bit confusing the layout but nice clean hotel and food good"

"Wykeham Arms is a period institution! Accomodation is a plus, and great food... Location, location, location helps!"
