After arriving at the hotel I was asked to pay for the parking (£10/night) First of all charging hotel guests for the parking is ridiculous but even worse when I’ve heard that if you book the room with hotel directly then parking is free but booked through Expedia is not… the same guest - different treatment. It’s a scam. Room itself was very dirty - all cups and cutlery in the room had stained marks, glasses in the bathroom had still toothpaste residue on them....

"Lovely staff and excellent location. Rooms look as though they have been recently refurbished. Cold breakfast selection not as good as it used to be but good variety of cooked breakfasts on offer. I found the restaurant very cold in the evening but fine in the morning. Plenty of supplies in the room, tea, coffee, water, biscuits and toiletries etc."

"We arrived at this hotel in its superb setting enormously cheerful. We were met by a male of surly demeanour with a charisma bypass. I have found prison officers, when visiting my clients, more cheerful and welcoming. His initial charming greeting, a flat, harmless 'you okay?' didnt lift our spirits but after getting over our encounter we loved our room and breakfast was great.
