All staff were so friendly and polite and went above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. The breakfast was outstanding with a beautifully relaxed dining room. The entire hotel was decorated lovely with cool relaxing palettes on the walls. We had an executive double which was a little smaller than expected but very tastefully presented. Only criticism was the hardness of the bed which did impact on our quality of sleep and there were a few hairs in the bath and shower on arrival. Overall, a great find and in a perfect location.

Hotel in excellent position, lovely seating at the front of the hotel, sun all day! Bar and lounge areas are beautiful! However, our room was not clean, the bed valences were very dirty and the chrome towel rail was covered in dirty water marks. There were paint splashes everywhere, looked like the paintwork had been freshened up by a child. The beds felt hard and low quality, my partner was ok but i sleep on my side and woke up with my hips feeling bruised. Tea, cofee etc was not replenished in three days apart from when we asked. Ending on a positive, the breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful stay at this hotel. Lovely character and it gives a great feel for the Shakespeare era with old wooden beams and minutes walk from the RSC. Our room was lovely and clean with great coffee pods! Bfast was absolutely delicious and it was definitely worth having. Plenty of options and the full English was wonderful. Great hotel to stay in if you’re visiting the theatre! But also the pub downstairs is stunning to have a few drinks and relax. Staff are super lovely and accommodating throughout the visit. Couldn’t fault it one bit. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

This is our second time visiting because we loved the place the first time. We stayed in 303 this time. Unfortunately I would not go back again. Room was constantly plagued with sewage smell. The staff tried to help but were unsuccessful in resolving the issue. On New Year’s day even the ground floor bathroom had to be shut for a period of time because of the same problem. Also throughout our stay we had no heat in the room and it was freezing temps outside. The staff brought us a small heater which did help but that made the already small room even smaller. The food was lovely and so were the staff but when we complained about the issues we were offered a small discount for another visit. Hence we will not be going back again. It’s worth a visit but just make sure you don’t stay in room 303.

The staff were charming and the room immaculate. The only negative aspect is that the kitchen closed well before the stated time and I was unable to have supper on my first night. When I complained the only suggestion was that I could go out and get a takeaway.

Spotless room and lovely extras brownies, biscuits, water and even a complementary gin and tonic in the fridge. Molton Brown toiletries in bathroom, comfy bed. Tasty breakfast with a small buffet and a menu to select from. Would recommend and stay here again.

This is a great place to stay in Stratford. From the moment we walked through the door, we just felt we had made the right choice. A roaring open fire, a beautiful Christmas tree, oak panels and a winding staircase. All the staff were exceptionally courteous, welcoming & friendly. We had a great room, with a huge bathroom. The place is full of history as you’d expect. Breakfast was great and there’s a great bar serving a good choice of cask & craft beer. Overall, a really excellent stay.

Clean room and bathroom with good quality complementary items and coffee machine. Breakfast was varied with cooked options and cold buffet style foods. The hotel/pub itself is beautiful listed building. Bar and food was quite expensive for what you get, so we ate and drank elsewhere. Handily, the hotel is in a fantastic location to access shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
