"Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!"

"This was a really nice small hotel. Staff was so friendly, since this is small, they knew us after day one and talked to us and shared sightseeing recommendations. Food at the hotel restaurant was excellent."

"This was a very welcome relaxing hotel. The pool temperature was comfy warm - not too hot. My partner really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Our breakfast was amazing with the amount of choices available "
