Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville Hotel

"We were in town to visit my son and this hotel was such a disappointment. Almost everything that could go wrong did. First of all, after a very long day and tired and "hangry", our check in took over 40 minutes. The desk clerk didn't seem to know what she was doing, and this didn't start off our visit well. Next, excited to relax in the hotel tub, we were told that the hot tub was out of service. Very dispapointed because this is the main reason we booked this hotel. We went into the room and it SMELLED!! It smelled wet, mildewy and just plain rank. We asked for another room to be told that there were no other room available. (Strange because we didn't see another soul in the hotel). Woke up in the morning to the coffee machine being out of order, waiting for employees to dish up their breakfast on the buffet, Breakfast consisted of paper thin cardboardy bacon and watery eggs. Possibly the worst hotel experience I've had. We checked into another hotel across the street for a lovely experience."

"The mattresses on top of the vehicles outside are probably cleaner than the beds in the rooms themselves. Upon arrival the staff were friendly and check-in was quick. The room itself looked nothing like the advertised photos. The room was very musty and upon inspection the bed was dirty with quite visible stains on the sheets, mattress pad and the mattress. I was offered a new room and I denied that request. I was also denied a refund with no explanation from either Quality Inn or Expedia."

"Rooms very clean! Toilet broke during our stay and we had to turn the water off after each use. They offered a new room but said they would fix it the next morning so we declined. After two days toilet still wasn’t fixed. Breakfast is good but depends on who is working how well it’s stocked. Jocelyn does an excellent job and is very friendly and helpful. All the staff is very kind and friendly."
