"Hotel did not supply any beach items. That would have been good to know going in. Third party company offered 2 chairs and umbrella for $45/day."

"Bed had hair in it…so, that was gross. Great location at a good price. If I was 18 on spring break, I would have thought it was awesome. It’s old but reasonably maintained; decently clean. Location is the key…and cheap compared to everything else. If you don’t care about being in a….2 star(?)…then this is the place."

"We really loved our stay at The Tides. You can’t beat the location, walking right onto the beach, and every window has a view. Parking was easy. There are private chair rentals right in front of the hotel ($45/day for 2 chairs & an umbrella). Our room with 2 queen beds was amply big, as was the washroom. And a good gym too. We would definitely recommend."

"The room we reserved wasn't available at the designated check-in time, and it seemed the room we received instead wasn't as nice as the premium paid for a Gulf view; also, amenities associated with the mandatory resort fee (smores kit) weren't available, and beach chairs/umbrella were packed up by staff earlier than the time indicated, so we received no value for it. The property itself is nice, relatively new, and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants."

"When you say pet friendly and i received multiple calls because other guests complained. After 830 am and we were with them regularly. The other guests should not be by guests with pets or stay at a non pet friendly hotel. Also the only access to beach is by shuttle or driving. And breakfast was not stayed correctly we needed a breakfast coupon. Falsely advertised. The only place for a pet is a small pice of grass. Not a beach for pets."

"I paid 1058.00 hoping to enjoy a quiet getaway. The hotel is nice and close to everything, at least it seems. I had ants all over the balcony which I did not realize until attacked. There were never enough towels in the bathroom and staff was rude when I requested more. The hot tub didn’t work properly and the young man at the desk (not the black one) had an entire attitude when queried about it. Worst of all, It appeared someone tried to break into my room that Sat evening. I told staff and...

"The best I can give it was "OK". I just expected more for about $200 a night. Thankfully, we only needed a place to stay for one night. We arrived around 12:30PM and they didn't have any rooms available for us to check in so we spent the day at the beach and got back about 8PM. Pretty much showered went to sleep then left the next morning. It did the job as a place to sleep for a night but not where I would have wanted to spend a vacation for any amount of time. "We love staying here. Beach access is great. Pools are great. I like having an indoor and outdoor option and two hot jet tubs available. The location to local attractions is convenient. The only thing I would suggest is either offering a free breakfast or improving the quality of the restaurant that’s onsite."
