Rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. Only minor comment is Bathroom decor could do with a refresh but overall a very nice stay and would highly recommend a visit. "

"We spent a pleasant night here with a very spacious room and comfortable bed, although the bathroom felt a touch old-fashioned. Our evening meals, in the bar, were OK, nothing special, although service was quite slow, and for some reason we couldn’t use a Greene King drink voucher despite it being a Greene King pub ! "The hotel location is fantastic, walking trail is on the door step, it’s so beautiful and peaceful with full of buttercups in the meadowlands. Wonderful National Trust Houses and Gardens like Melford Hall, Lavenham Guildhall and Ickworth all in 30 minutes driving. Besides the sound proof is weak, room #8 is good size for a single occupancy, although I paid for a double room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. "

Very clean and accented by those niceties that the ladies will enjoy Only concern was limited parking but host was accommodating when needed. "staff were pleasant enough, but we stayed in the honeymoon suite which as you walk in has a carpeted area with a wardrobe, a sink in the corner, a shower (no curtain) and a jacuzzi bath??? The door to the left has a toilet and the door to the right has a four post bed, tv & side cabinets. Breakfast was nice as had a fry-up but waited a while for a member of staff to notice that we'd entered the room & also that another couple had come in. "This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv. So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was. Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good. Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book. Neil"
