"Location is great - just a 10min walk max to Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Bascilla cistern, Grand bazaar. The tram is literally 2min away and useful to travel to all the other main areas such as karakoy, dolmaca palace, eminonu etc.
There is no Spa in the hotel, the sauna is switched off and you have to tell reception you want to use it for them to switch it on.

"The room was beautiful and everything was fine but there’s nothing around there. So if you want some tea, you gotta eat at the restaurant which is incredibly expensive. There isn’t a restaurant inside you’d have to walk around 15 minutes uphill to get away from the property. That reason I’d never stay there again."

"Two experiences turned what could have been a good stay into meh. First was their choice of the guide. As soon as we checked in we were pushed a guide and a dinner cruise, we declined the cruise but accepted the guide who was supposed to be taking us through the old city from 900-1700. We requested he start a bit late at around 1000.
The guide could barely speak, had such a low voice we struggled to hear, didn't tell us anything beyond the wikipedia pages of the attractions, couldn't cover the...

"Was underwhelmed with this property - the shower water was like warm at best, shower head clogged - so basically freezing coming out of the shower. Room service access was hard, communication via in-room phones difficult, one staff wouldn’t try to get me a taxi, and when I checked out - I told them I never touched the mini-bar. The front desk person said, just a few minutes before you go, we need to check that. Never had that happen to me before. Room clean, location was fairly good, area...

"It was a very unique small scale grand hotel in the historic center of Istanbul.
Beautifully maintained and authentic property. The head concierge Omer was delightful and most accommodating. The staff at the desk and the Bell Captain were polite and gracious.
I would recommend their restaurant on the top level."
