The sea is calling. Too bad this beautiful place is an insurgent hotspot. But I've been there, and have tremendously enjoyed the beach for a whole day.

The people of Sibutu in Tawi Tawi are known for their boat-making skills and craftsmanship. A finished boat is called a "lantsa". Tawi Tawi is also one of those places in southern Mindanao that is not on most tourists' bucketlist due to security matters. However, visiting Sibutu is possible with the guidance of competent local guides and clearance from the police.
