Lots of renovations happening so the lifts were not working. The room was nice and comfortable - quite warm though. Not the nicest area but very walkable down to wind street. Parking next door for £5 was handy.

From initially walking into the reception I was met by Rebecca on reception. Really professional, lovely friendly welcome and immediately felt comfortable and valued as a guest. The grand hotel was clean well laid out for my long weekend visit. All the staff were cheerful and helpful and very efficient. I spoke with Terry another very professional and friendly member of staff. I cannot fault any part of the weekend. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice. Evening meal again was delicious and a great menu. I sincerely as apologise as I cannot remember the young managers name. But he was amazing, really welcoming, professional and an absolute pleasure to meet and speak with. The three members of staff absolutely made my weekend a pleasure and I really hope to revisit the grand hotel again soon.
