Need to fix the elevator
Everything was great, the location, the room, the staff. But we came back 12 days later and the elevator was still not fixed yet, the elevator sounded scary and made us uncomfortable.

Great hotel but needed maintenance
Great room, great service, great location. But they really need to fix some of the elevators, they sound really scary and making everyone uncomfortable.

Location is great close to all main shopping in cbd, walk to Hyde park and museum, metres to light rail station and 5min walk to train. Room was nice but bathrooms very dated, shower leaked onto floor every day, dirty grout and paintwork, bad smell from drains whenever you use the basin. I wouldn’t stay here again solely based on the bathrooms. Also wanted to have a light meal at Arches on second night and stood at the bar while staff all looked confused talking to each other and said oh we’ll just clear you a table then another person just pushed in front and sat themselves down at the only empty table the staff said sorry no tables and we were turned away!

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms were really nice. The staff was great. There was construction in the lobby that was affecting being able to enjoy the lobby. I was charged for a full breakfast when the breakfast was not being offered to its fullest capacity due to construction. It made me feel like customer service was lacking and I never sought breakfast at the hotel again. Other than the construction issues and mediocre service during that time the hotel is lovely.

I can't say the staff were all super helpful. We arrived just after our check in time and the room wasn't ready, which wouldn't have been a huge issue if we hadn't planned on walking around the City before our event. They wouldn't initially take our luggage and we were made to wait. When we approached them again after 45mins they took our luggage and we could go out and wander. Shame they hadn't done that earlier. Otherwise the facilities and breakfast were good.

Everything about Hotel 1st class. Can recommend also to families. Beds great, buffet brekkie great. Staff great nothing a problem. Very central to everything with light rail close by. Great prices & rooms larger than normal with great large bathroom & deep bath.

This property located right near tram stop QVB Queen victoria building - that is a huge shopping area. This tram goes to circular quay and down to darking harbour, paddys markets so central. Centrepoint/sydney tower 3 minutes walk away and hyde park 5 minutes walking, along with the mall on george 1 block away

This is a great hotel that is smack bang in the middle of the city. Pitt St Mall is only a 30 second walk (it’s around the corner). Room is very clean and a very good size (we got two queen beds). Room service was fast and house cleaning was excellent. I went for work related purposes and only stayed for 3 nights so I didn’t get to use the facilities. The only thing negative is breakfast room service. The only thing on the menu was a cold breakfast or a hot breakfast PLUS the cold breakfast. There was no option to order the hot breakfast alone.

Have stayed at Swissotels in the past, long time customer. Not too impressed. Struggled with some of their policies which seemed like nonsense to me. We had 4 in our room but they seemed to have problems getting supplies for 4 consistently. Sofa sleeper very uncomfortable. Great location in the CBD close to the tram line. Great food in the area.

Nice property with very poor service. Front desk seems clueless. Doesn’t answer the phone, doesn’t deliver promised services as simple as a bucket of ice. Very frustrating. Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung (Minibar, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Vergrößerungsspiegel, Badewanne und Dusche, reichlich Platz, gemütlicher Sessel). Perfekte Lage (gegenüber Sydney Tower, Foodhalls, Shoppingmalls Westfield, QVB, Taxis und Tram Bahn vor der Tür, Circular Quay, Oper, Harbour Bridge und Darling Harbour zu Fuß erreichbar). Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr schöne Bar. Restaurant und Spa habe ich nicht genutzt.

The room was a bit old. The price was high for such a room. The matras was worn out. They should replace It. Not a Good night sleep on It. The bathroom had no handshower.

Okay place, fairly central
good place overall but their service could really improve; Toook 35 mins to check-in, requested a "quiet room" but got the one right next to the elevator - was told they only have 1 such room per floor. Room service was okay

Too Many Problems for AUD$400+ Per Night
For a luxury hotel, too many things went wrong: malfuctioning air conditiioner forced us to switch rooms on day 2; bathroom sink drained too slowly; housecleaning often forgot to replace hand towel and face cloth; no parking available at hotel; inconvenience of using two elevator systems to access room; cheap management only compensated us for inconvenient room change by giving us two drink coupons at bar. On a positive note, the hotel was beautiful and the staff tried mightily to compensate for the many hotel problems. But I would not stay here again.
