Room and false advertising in description and pictures. Room said it was queen bed and it was only a double. There were zip ties for a lock for the doors to the adjoining room. Bathroom sink was plugged and barely drained. The main room light didn’t work. Only 1 head light above the right side of the bed to light the entire room. Also there was no parking, the back parking lot was not ploughed and the front parking lot was full from locals visiting the pub in the hotel as there was live music. No parking for actual hotel guests. I DO NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

Checked in and went to room to find that keys did not work. Walked all the way back to front desk and waited to be served again. Was given new keys, only to find out that room was not cleaned from the last customer that stayed in it. Bed was unmade with garbage and was still on the night stands. Very bad experience, we instantly returned to the front desk, waited for an attendee and insisted on cancelling our stay. Not a great day, sudden death in family and after traveling all day to have this happen. We are waiting for our refund electronically! My mourning wife was too upset to wait at the time.

The whole place was a no go for me . I booked it as it says best western location boy was I fooled . This room is worth maybe 50 a night . Walks in the smells in place was unbelievable. Then gets upstairs they hallway was gross ladder in middle of walkway just all around I would never book this place again not even for 50 a night . When flush toilet the chain was let go broken so had lift that up just flush the toilet. Feet sticking up to floor stay away

The room felt like the furniture was collected from a dorm room. The mice traps up and down the hallway was a little scary. The food for breakfast had a small variety and you had to fiqure out on your own where everything was. The staff were friendly but not very helpful.

Very low quality hotel. Poor breakfast. Room was furnished like a dorm room. High price. Charged double for our stay and could not get a good result from manager (said they couldn’t find the extra charge in their system). Had to contact credit company. This is taking up a lot of time to resolve. Do not book this hotel.

One of the two rooms I rented was not for guests. We were moved to the nun harbor view side of the hotel and promised a credit. The credit was not issued upon checkout. I was told to call back and and given the name of an individual with whom I should speak. I called and was told someone would call me back. Several days later I called again. This time I was instructed to email the problem to the hotel. I did. Again, no response.

Reserved a room with queen size bed, received a room with a double bed and a non-working TV, was advised it was the last room available. I must add that the staff on the Saturday & Sunday evening did actually try to fix the TV, but it was the desk person who moved us to a room with an actual queen size bed and working TV, our last night (Sunday) of a 4 night stay.

Don’t let the association with Best Western mislead you!!! The property looks fair from the outside but inside is different. Oh, where to begin? The checkin was likely the best part of the experience. The beds aren’t especially good, the ceiling has been repaired and looks dodgy. The towels are so thin, mildew on the plastic shower curtain. No coffee in the room, no kettle or a tea bag. Fridge worked and has a large freezer. Breakfast— the chafing dish wasn’t turned on or something as the eggs, hot dogs (yes- hot dogs) and potatoes wedges were cold. So there was at least cereal, muffins and yogurt and coffee. We booked through Expedia, should have just walked up in person to examine the room. But after hours travelling we wanted to have a place to just get into. The front desk staff were at least receptive and apologized for our experience. They brought out a person, maybe the manager; no introduction given. After discussing the situation , she was not willing to give any resolution. We really don’t have much recourse but will be reaching out to Best Weatern and NS Health.

I arrived at 10:00 pm and there were men on the front porch smoking heavily. First room I was assigned had mold in the bathroom. Second room had sticky bathroom floors and dirty blankets. Both were on the bottom floor. I asked to be switched again and was told it would be 30 minutes to clean another room and the TV won’t work.The third room I entered on the main floor seemed clean enough. Blankets and pillows were very thin. Noises from people upstairs could be heard all night. I checked out at 6:00 AM and asked the front desk if something can be done about the rigamaroll I was put through. Staff replied “I’m just a random night worker I can’t give discounts.”
