The Oaks is close to Central Station and many shopping, eating and entertainment locations. There were some elevator renovations happening that delayed access to and from my floor, but not too inconveniencing.

Hi , I don’t normally write reviews - but thought others should know about our negative experience. -Photos of the property were not accurate and the website was photos were mis - leading -One lift was out and wait time was regularly 7-12 minutes -The property interior needs a good cleaning -The room smelt damp when we opened up for the first time -It was a very hot day in Sydney, but even at night the A/C could not cool the rooms enough -The TV remote did not work -The toilet system was continuously running into the pan overnight , and I thought we had a leak. - I should have read other reviews with similar complaints - We ended up checking out - but Expedia will refund us -At the front desk Jina was very helpful, when we explained our problems - and was supportive. My closing point is Expedia needs to check the photos and information being presented is accurate. We appreciated the refund

The room was clean but had a terrible smell wafting from the drains. The pool area had peeling paint all over the ceiling and only 2 seats it did not feel like you wanted to have a swim at all very disappointed. Towards the end of our stay only 1 of the lifts we’re working.

Work ongoing upgrading one of the two lifts which causes delays however very well located to Central Station, Thai and China town districts, Capitol Theatre. Comfortable, clean, handy, enjoyable.

Air con wasn’t working on arrival, however when we called reception to let them know, they sent someone up and it was repaired within an hour. Other than that really good stay with a nice, clean room. Really good location in the heart of Sydney.

Best of the best
Our stay at the Oaks with our adult son was commendable. Five stars for cleanliness and the apartment was huge. Every interaction with a Oaks staff member was friendly and welcoming. The location could not get any better being in the city, especially for public transport. Having a Coles and Liquorland approximately 100m away under World Square made purchasing food and essentials very economical.

The apartment was massive and located between Central and Museum stations. The only downside was the noise coming from the train line, but you expect some noise in a big city. Would recommend to friends and family.

Helpful staff and spacious rooms
The staff were super friendly and helpful. I sadly spent some of my trip unwell and when menulog didn’t deliver my order for water and nurofen one of the awesome receptionists went to a nearby convenience store to get them for me. Super grateful for her! The apartments were very spacious and tidy, will definitely book there again in future.

Our experience at Oaks was a blend of positives and negatives. On the positive side, our room at Oaks was impressively spacious, and the bed offered a high level of comfort. The pool and spa facilities added to the overall appeal, providing enjoyable leisure options. Additionally, the reception staff displayed politeness and were genuinely helpful. However, our stay was not without its drawbacks. Despite the generally commendable performance of the staff, occasional lapses in housekeeping left us somewhat dissatisfied. The inconvenience was further compounded by the fact that only one elevator served floors 11 and above. This proved frustrating, given the heavy demand throughout our two-week stay. The rooms, unfortunately, are somewhat dated, with a scarcity of power points and notable issues related to sound and light pollution.

The dual key apartment was spacious and clean. Great for ladies staying together. Close to Chinatown and Paddy’s Market and light rail for travel around the city. Only down side was condition of pool /spa area which badly needs maintenance to the roof and tile surrounds.

This place felt old and smelt musty. There was only one person girl on the front desk dealing with one flawed booking after another. I requested single beds twice but still got a king bed. Phone in the room didn’t work so w we had to queue up again. Very frustrating. Will not be returning

From Check in, this hotel was a nightmare. There was no receptionist for about 10 mins.I requested 2 rooms to be close together, our rooms were on the 3rd and 17th floor, definitely not close. The rooms were old but at least fairly clean. The car park was 14 levels down and very tight to fit a SUV in the grotty, rubbish car park spot. Then on the 2nd night there was no hot water, reception told us it would be fixed in an hour, but unfortunately was still not working the next morning. I would not recommend this hotel…

The check in process was great, the staff member we dealt with was very lovely. When we asked for a potential late check out (due to a work meeting) we were told it shouldn’t a problem. Then we were told the room had just been deep cleaned and the carpets were a bit wet and that industrial fans were on in the room. The carpet was soaking wet, and the fans were very loud! The apartment also smelt very bad. After we checked in they called to say that technicians needed to look at the air con so there was three men working in there while we were getting ready for an event. We were given the option to let them in come in later once we had left, but we didn’t feel comfortable having people in our room when we were there. We were unable to put anything on the floors in the room, due to how wet the carpet was, and were woken up by the smell multiple times during the evening. The location of the hotel was very close to everything we needed. The parking options were great and the staff were fantastic to deal with, but we would have liked to have known about the Maintenance going on in the room with both the air-conditioning and the carpet before, so we could have found alternative options.

Enjoyable stay but no hot water!
My friends and I enjoyed our 2-night stay and were very happy with our room and facilities. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only disappointing thing was that the hotel’s water heater broke down on the first night of our stay, meaning we couldn’t shower on the first night, or the following morning. It had been repaired by the afternoon when we got back from our day out. We have been promised a refund of 25% of the cost of one night’s stay, which we have been told we will receive in around 3 weeks time. I will be waiting for the promised amount of $179 to appear in my bank account within the next 3 weeks. Hopefully there will be no issues with getting this refund.

The property was great, room was big and clean. Excellent and convenient location, right around the corner from World Square and easy walk to Central and Museum stations. The only thing I would fault is the car park. Carparking is available at a fee however it is unclear when approaching the hotel where the carpark is. It is not clearly signed and there are no easy to find spaces to park in whilst checking in. There is also no on street parking access to stop while checking in. I ended up parking in the paid car park across the road as I didnt know what other options I had.
