We found it to be quiet comfortable and clean, not elegant or fancy but loved the history of the building. So close to darling harbour, walking distanve to most things. Lots of cafes to choose from

There was water backflow in the toilet leaving floor wet and having to request towels to keep it dry. This matter may require immediate attention for repair. Other than this, the Oaks brand continues to impress with spacious rooms, well equipped kitchenette, modern design pool and jet spa, large sauna, a wide range of gym equipment, and most of all, excellent customer service of the reception staff upon check-in and on stay.

We stayed in a split-level apartment which was perfect for our needs - somewhere for the adults to sit and chat when our child was asleep. Some of the furniture and carpets are a bit dated and old but the amenties were great - the kitchen, washer and dryer and 2 bathrooms a big plus for a bigger group. The location was great, once you navigate through the multistorey opposite, you are into the main Darling Harbour area, close to the tram and there's plenty of food options around. It's really good value for money.

I liked that it was an easy walk to Darling Harbour, the city, Chinatown etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did find a couple of dead cockroaches in the cupboard under the sink which wasn't nice. I also had a little bit of rubbish that I needed to get rid of before I checked out, but couldn't find where the bins were located. I was then told by reception that there was a door next to the lifts that doesn't have a sign for it. How is anyone supposed to find that?

Die Unterkunft war nicht so, wie auf den Bildern präsentiert. Das Schlafzimmer war sehr klein. Der Poolbereich war nicht erhitzt. Bei der Dusche ging nur kalt oder heiß (gefühlt).

This place was awful. The rooms looked nothing like the website. Construction 6 days a week starting at 7:30am. Had no idea there was construction. The layout reminds me of a prison. Broken Lyfts so had to work around that as well. Overall a terrible place and I Don t write bad reviews. Go to the Sofitel or another better known property.

Great location, really good access to Darling Harbour with eateries and easy walk into the city centre. The room itself was average - the fridge ran constantly quite noisy, there was a hose running in the laundry tub sporadically and the towel rail was not affixed to the wall properly. Had a housekeeping issue and it took 3 follow ups before it was addressed. Quite pricey for what was an average experience.

Front desk helpful. No elevator from street level to front desk was a small problem since one of our travelers was handicapped and taking luggage up stairs was cumbersome to say the least. The shortcut to Darling Harbor was a plus.

Clean & close to ICC. However, if you don't have any Apps, Staff are unable to explain how to get there. Maybe some sort of signage at the 'Convention' Tram Spot would have been helpful. My granddaughter & I wandered around for about an hour and half trying to find the place. We asked several people and only 1 was able to explain. Even tried to ringing the Facility, explained where I was, but they couldn't help either.

I mean I did book the hotel But was a mistake, really out of the way, right next to motorway, quite stark. Feels like a backpackers Just not for me Staff were nice enough when I asked for a refund and moved hotels for my last 2 nights Good for families and lower budget perhaps if you want to be no where near anything

Overall the Oaks is a good accommodation to stay in when visiting Sydney. I was though disappointed at the condition and cleanliness of our apartment. The bathrooms in particular had loose tiles not affixed to the wall, shower silicon was black and dust on the fittings. The kitchen was a good full sized with microwave, full oven and cooktop. A note though that there was no baking tray to cook in oven or oven gloves to get hot things out of the oven. I did ask for both of these items but none were available. I was delivered a casserole dish and 2 x tea towels which we made do with. I have stayed at this property 10 years ago and the rooms were very well presented but in my opinion over this time the interior maintenance has not been kept up. We still enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and helpful when we needed extra supplies from housekeeping. Check in and out was also very fast and friendly.

The bathrooms in particular were dirty and need of maintenance. The air-conditioning did not work properly however they did provide fans. The fans ran very loud and we're not what we were expecting in an air conditioned apartment.

Getting here by public transport is awful, through an unsigned carpark basically off the tram stop. That’s the only negative I have though, great facilities, full sized pool, room was spacious, comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

Our room was a mixed bag. The main living/kitchen area was modern and clean. But our bathroom was not in a great state. Both myself and my wife, of average height could not shower standing up as the shower head was fixed at about neck level. The air con condensation pipe was exposed, dripping into an old industrial sink in the bathroom and the sink was partially clogged and drained slowly. Overall the room was in desperate need of renovation, in order to match the rest of the room.

The property had everything you would need for an extended stay. Not a lot of eating places nearby. Directions given by staff had us walking way further than we needed to in the rain. Seems to be a problem with the fire alarm as it went off every night for the last 3 nights of our stay and I must say unless you were a light sleeper you wouldn’t hear it so I was glad it was a false alarm!
