I enjoyed staying at the Travelodge at Sydney Nova Scotia. I needed a place for two nights and it served the purpose, comfortable bed, friendly staff good breakfast in the morning.
One of the few hotels in this rating which has an indoor swimming pool with hot-tub etc. Breakfast is reasonably substancial as well, all included in the price.
Found out the day after checkin that room-cleaning is every other day (according to 1 front-desk staff) or only essential-cleaning everyday & full-cleaning every other day!? None of these were mentioned in Expedia's booking. Anyway, the hotel staff didn't seem to know for sure.

This place is so rundown! The carpeting is so old there are cigarette burns in it. Peeling wallpaper.
There is a pool and hot tub but no elevator, a long walk and stairs to get to it.
The rooms, sheets and towels were clean and staff was friendly, helpful and responsive.
Hotel did not honor the rate quoted by Expedia and that I had confirmation of.
Very old and felt dirty in rooms , hallways and building, only thing that looked modern and updated was lobby, very deceiving. Would not recommend

Great reception staff, decent breakfast and clean rooms
Really nice luxurious place have a hot spa pool snooker table games for kids gym hot sauna and even a small convenience shop for quick late night snack and food and the breakfast was amazing had some fresh pancakes with tatars. We went for camping and the next day this place was so relaxing we had a microwave and a freezer in the room some coffee and tea and toiletries just get there to be cozy if out for vacation

What I like is the friendly service. The woman who checked us in was so nice and helpful. Anything we needed was attended to. One little suggestion: some paintings or prints would be nice in the guest rooms. Just a thought.

Love the old school hotels as they have fridges that you can use, that aren’t stuffed with overpriced beverages. And they have a microwave in the room.
Breakfast was good; lots to choose from and very friendly service staff.

We were charged an extra $50 for having a birthday party at the room. I'm not sure if staff just pocketed it but I didn't get a receipt reflecting the change.
Also, the stairs were an issue as I have a knee problem. Came home swollen and sore as you folks do not have an elevator. Not sure how this passes exability by laws here in nova scotia!

The management of this property was very unkind and selfish. There was a mix up with our room and instead of trying to accommodate and work the problem out, he refused good service and would not make any changes or refunds to accommodate our family.
The front staff Stephanie and Simi were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to attempt to make our stay acceptable.

We were given a room with two doubles instead of two queens. Even though I checked in online, they said that didn't really count so I had to do it again. The room itself was adequate, the pool wasn't very well-kept, most of the arcade games were broken, and they couldn't give me change at the front desk. Breakfast was good though.
