The place was full of interesting antiquities which created a feeling of having gone back in time. Our room showed some wear and tear which detracted from our experience. The bathroom needs some attention as the bottom of the door shows wear and possible water damage and is awkwardly placed making the bathroom challenging to use. The tile and base of shower door look like they need a good scrub. The doors to the little kitchenette sticks to the floor and the area seemed like it also needed a good clean. The breakfast lady was warm and friendly and the breakfast had something for everybody. The location was excellent.

The hotel has an excellent location in the city - near the shore - and also near to many restaurants and shops. Our room was spacious and clean. The area leading to our room was very pretty with colorful flowers nearby.

The hotel is in a great location with everything in walking distance. The late check in was easy with our instructions posted on the door and a phone number to call first. We used WhatsApp. The room was clean and the size of a small apartment. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The parking garage was a three minute walk from the hotel. We would stay here again.

I loved this hotel. Stairs are not my friend and even though there is no elevator they had a ground floor apt for me. The people are lovely. I would stay here again. It’s an historic building and area thoughtfully cared for which speaks to my heart.

Ortigia

Really enjoyed the stay and the area. The property is a bit of an odd lay out but our room was lovely. Visit the baths downstairs.

Property is located in the old town of Ortigia, just a block from the sea, and very walkable through the maze of narrow streets and alleys. It was fun to discover shops and restaurants. The building is very historic—part of the old Jewish section of the town, with ancient baths underground. Our hosts were very friendly and fully bi-lingual. The room was a bit dated, but very tastefully decorated. There is a very elegant courtyard for common use just below our 2nd story walk up. The continental breakfast was good, not exceptional. We enjoyed our stay very much.
