Lovely room in the centre of town

The greeting from Kostas was warm and welcoming. The room was excellent from the view to sea to the quietness from the street.Cleanliness of the room was evident and the complimentary products available for the stay were great. Highly recommend staying here sadly we only stayed one night.

A perfect stay in Syros.

Honestly the best hotel we have stayed at in years. The building is beautiful, the rooms are super clean and so well decorated. The bathroom and shower were perfect. Add to all of that a host who really care about ensuring you enjoy your stay in Syros.

This property was stunning!!! The room is large and gorgeously renovated. I felt like I was in a spa. Every detail was considered and every aspect of the process was perfect. Konstantinas got me a taxi when I thought I'd never find one, and it came in 2 minutes. I think he and his wife are magicians. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly to anyone considering a visit to Syros!!!

Best bed in Greece.

We stayed in a wonderful room, beautifully decorated and with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (in Greece). The host was very friendly and gave us all the insider tips about Syros that we needed. The suites are perfectly located in the city. Close to the boat terminal and the bustling street life of Ermoupolis. I am longing to come back here.

Exceptional Stay with Thoughtful Hospitality!

I recently stayed at this lovely property on Syros island and had a fantastic experience. The room looked exactly like the photos on the website — clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Everything was spotless, which made us feel right at home from the start. The staff was very polite and friendly, always ready with a smile and willing to help with anything we needed. A special mention goes to the property owner, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were not only helpful but also proactive. Due to unexpected weather conditions, we were unable to leave the island as planned. During this stressful time, the property owner was extremely supportive, providing us with helpful information and guidance that made the situation much easier to handle. We will definitely be coming back!

We loved our stay at 1844 Suites from the beginning where we got a great history lesson about Syros right to the end where we picked up our bags (but didn’t want to leave). Kostas was an amazing host and the woman who cleaned our room was the sweetest. The room was great and so comfortable. We really enjoyed the patio as well. If I could give this place an 11/10 I would! We would not hesitate to rebook in the future when we return.

1844 Suites is close to the centre of Ermoupoli and also convenient to the port where our ferry arrived. The suites have been beautifully updated and are very comfortable. An excellent choice when staying in this lovely city for 1-3 days.

The room was amazing! The architecture of the building was preserved and the interior wall still had the original brick work. This property is centrally located near shopping and food. Kostas is a great host. He knows the history of the island and gives great suggestions as to where to eat and what to see. We will definitely visit Syros again and we will book this hotel again.

I recently stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The location is great for walking from the ferry and then exploring the local area. It’s only a short walk from buses too if you have time to explore further. Kostas was incredibly welcoming, giving me tips on what to do/where to go. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras like a selection of free drinks in the fridge, Nespresso machine, slippers, blackout blinds, molton brown toiletries. The same quality is closer to 5 star, not 3 star! I’d certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the island - I had a very relaxing stay and would definitely return! Thank you!

I had a beautiful, spacious room. The location is great and everything was very clean. The proprietor was friendly and helpful and offered some good insights for my stay on the island. The only minuses, there isn't a hotel sign and I had some trouble finding it. Some helpful neighbours showed me. It would be good to get precise directions before you come. Also, I had a rental car and the free municipal car park was about 7-8 minutes walk. There's a trade off between central locations and convenient parking. Overall, I was very happy here.

Hôtel bien placé

Chambre spacieuse, propre, jolie décoration, lit confortable. Hôtel très bien placé. Pas de petit déjeuner mais port avec plusieurs resto à moins d’une minute à pied. Propriétaire sympathique et serviable.

Beautiful, modern, central location

This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed at! My sister and I took a trip through the Greek islands, and we couldn't have picked a better hotel for Syros. It was right in the capital of Ermoupoli, and the owner, Kostos, picked us up at the port and even showed us around a little. He had good suggestions for things to do, and was very accommodating; he even helped find someone to fix one of our broken bags! The room was updated and beautiful. It was truly a comfortable stay and we'll definitely pick 1844 next time we come to Syros!
