"This place was over $300/night but it was like staying in a $60/night motel. The carpet throughout the hotel was filthy and also unvacuumed. The wallpaper was old and peeling. The room smelled awful, like dirty feet, likely because the carpet in the room was old and filthy. Also, the smoke detector hung from the ceiling by its wires.
I’m not high maintenance or prone to exaggerating—this place was nasty."

"Air conditioning in the lobby where the hotel bistro was was broken so it was quite warm there. The room we were given had a wet rug near the coffee maker and the faucet in the bathroom leaked from the fixture all over the counter. They moved us to a different room and the toilet overflowed. It was fixed by the time we returned but none of it left us with a great feeling. Probably wouldn’t stay there again."

"I never heard of a booked room the guest having to request to be cleaned after the room is given to the guest. Every hotel I've been to the room given to me is always clean. Here at La Quinta the room was given to me dirty. The bathroom was disgusting and so dirty.
