"I stayed in room for 4 people, 2 twin beds and 2 futon beds. Room is spacious for japanese standard and beautifully decorated. Convenience store just next to the hotel building. Walkable distance to popular Gion, Kiyomizu dera and Kodaiji temple. Everything is excellent. Thank you Minn Gion."

"Very clean and lots of room. Provided slippers and toiletry items. Only issue we encountered which is not really hotel's fault is that someone removed our wet laundry from the dryer twice in one night to put their own laundry in. Some people are just rude."

"LOVED staying at this MIMARU in Kyoto! Location was great (about an 8 minute walk to the subway and right next to a family mart and even a grocery store 5 minute walk away). Front desk was very helpful and courteous, room was spacious and clean. We were traveling as a family of four with two boys, ages 10 and 13, and we have already recommended this hotel to friends entertaining the idea of a Japan vacation!"

"Although this property was an old nice machiya they updated it with a nice bathroom. But the beds were really comfy. I didn’t care for the location because it was far from bus and train station. It’s a long hot walk with all our luggage. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of location but the inn was really great. "

"Staff was very friendly which made checking in very smooth. Our room was super spacious for our family of four, but more importantly very clean. Location was excellent! 7 Eleven was right around the corner and Lawsons on the next block which made those egg sandwich, onigiri, pancakes, beverages, and coffee runs super quick. Lots of great eats and a pub nearby. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the Kyoto area."

"This was my second stay at this location. It is just steps from the covered shopping areas and Nishiki Market. The hotel itself is very quiet and serene and boasts an interior courtyard with a tree growing in a shallow pool. Coffee and sake are complimentary in the lobby and the rooms feature traditional style furnishings, including a Hiba wood soaking tub. The showers are fantastic and having a laundry machine, fridge and microwave in each room is a welcome bonus. I really enjoy this hotel."
