Hotel Ski di Takayama

"I had high hopes for this hotel because of the onsen, so we booked three nights in a japanese-style room with half- board (breakfast and dinner). First, this hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. You cannot walk to town or any restaurants outside of the hotel property. The closest town is Hirayu Onsen, which is a ten-minute bus ride. We should've stayed there instead. We've been traveling all over Japan for the past five weeks so we've stayed at several hotels before this one. This hotel...

"Tempatnya bagus,ongsennya juga ok,pas disana hujan salju, sekitar tempat penginapan penuh dg salju,staff nya semua ramah, saat disana cari makan susah restoran tutup, hanya ada 1 restoran yg buka,tapi saat itu uda tutup jam 6 PM, dinner di penginapan hrus reserved dulu baru bisa, tidak bisa langsung datang, bisa di antar dan di jemput di terminal Hirayu onsen.."

"Overall a very good experience! If you are looking for a traditional Japanese stay, I recommend this ryōkan. Pros: room is tidy and spacious. Public bath available (¥150/day). Wonderful Japanese breakfast and Hida beef dinner (both need to be ordered in advance, dinner - before 4pm). Courteous service and free morning shuttle to the train station! Cons: futon was fine to my taste but for some it may seem hard. Public bath was nothing special - just showers and one tub. But I'm glad it was...

"We stayed at this ryokan for 3 nights and we loved it there! It is family driven and has such a lovely and local feeling. Our room was big, authentic and had a really nice onsen. We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. Everything tasted amazing and we loved that the ingredients was local and in season. We also got help for activities. "
