"Situated in a scenic location with an unbelievable view over the surrounding mountains including mt Yufu. Very steep road up and easy to miss off the main road. Parking lot is good and was never crowded. Room was very spacious with 3 private onsens, though you’d only be using the outside ones purely for the surrounding views and sounds of nature! The daily Kaiseki meals were excellent with abundance of local delicacies including Bungo Wagyu beef! overall the resort felt a little dated and would...

"内風呂の温度など計って無く、風呂に入ろうとしたところ、熱くて入れたもんじゃない。"

"Room was huge as with Ryokan style accommodation and generally clean, What great is the reservation system for onsen so you can have a private slot for yourself/family instead of the usually gender sharing arrangement. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Yunotsubo Kaido and 5 minutes to the train station and Aeon supermart. Unlike some osen town eg. Hakone, there is plenty of food option at night."

"Nice and helpful staff, near lake and shopping, quiet "

"A great little hidden gem in this area - we stayed here as a stopover to our next location. Room was clean and super cozy. Staff was very nice and helpful with us settling in. Location is very quaint and I loved all the statues decorating the place. The bath was super nice! Would recommend staying here and getting the dinner & breakfast experience - the food smelt so good! "Wonderful stay at this ryokan - amazing food, staff and scenery!"

"Wonderful ryokan stay at Yufuin Kutsurogi no Yado Nanakawa. The location is very convenient, close to Yufuin Floral Village, quaint shops, and many restaurants. We enjoyed the half-board stay, and the food was sumptuous and beautifully prepared. The room was peaceful and comfortable, with a relaxing private onsen. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy the charm of Yufuin."

"Such a wonderful stay, would love to come back in fall."

"It fits with the acomodation fee. Basically, there is no staff. Showers and toilets are shared with other guests. Enjoy local spa around the guest house. Do not expect anything. You will be satisfied if you think that is for just sleeping."
