The bed was the most comfortable I slept in so far. Room was large enough for a single person. They had free amenities in the lobby and the breakfast had a good Japanese spread. The only con is the elevator is super slow lol but at least they have one! Family mart underneath is super helpful. Would stay again and it's super close to the takachiho gorge!

Great location. We were able to walk to most places in the small town. Small room bht exactly as desribed in the listing. Room was clean and staff were nice. Lots of parking in front of the hotel. Good value stay

Very Nice!

The staff are super friendly, the location is good and within walking distance to all of the sites in Takachiho I wanted to see, the room was comfortable and I am very pleased with my stay!

The most wonderful place in Japan!

We travelled to Takachiho all the way from London. This hotel was so clean and had a wonderful view to Takachiho hills. Hotel staff were so helpful. I love to visit Takachiho again and love to stay at Hotel grateful Takachiho.

Peaceful location on the edge of the town. No option for meals or drinks in the hotel, but there is a Family Mart shop 2 minutes walk away.

Sunday night saw a lack of dining establishments. However there is a Lawsons convenience store below the hotel. An older style hotel but clean and quiet and close to the gorge entrance with beautiful gardens surrounding. Staff were very nice and breakfast was great.

Pros: Good value. Spacious rooms. Relatively large beds. Quiet area. Easy, ample parking. Hotel connected to a convenience store. Good free breakfast. Walking distance to Amaterasu train attraction. Cons: A bit further away from Takachiho Gorge, about 5min drive. No view from hotel. Laundry was a bit expensive, had to buy detergent from the front desk separately from the laundry machine fee.

Not a great hotel

It was an old hotel, a bit off from the main attractions and the bus station in town. Breakfast was not great either and the hotel is not compatible to its price.
