"Guess I wasn't prepared for what I was to find while visiting. Perhaps it was because we had all just survived a long, hot Texas summer. However, the tranquility and beauty were healing to the soul. I kept thinking, "how did I not know of this place before". I'm not even sure I want to share it with friends as I never want it to change. I was able to extend checkout for an extra hour which was very helpful, as my granddaughter was able to ride the pony again. "The inn is close to town, walking distance. They have a restaurant behind the inn that offers burgers, sandwiches and some dinner selections. Service was nominal at the restaurant, not overly friendly. I actually felt like they'd rather be somewhere else. Rooms were clean, but pretty simple. No TV, which I dont watch anyways. No coffee bars except for at breakfast. Maybe they were short staffed, but it seemed that there was never anyone around the front desk to help with anything. It actually...

"The hotel was old on the outside but looked to be recently updated on the inside. The only thing I saw was the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could have been. There was hair in the shower and on the floor that wasn’t ours."
