"The staff is very friendly and the place was very unique . I loved that I didn’t feel like I was in a dark box. There was so much natural light in the rooms! I still got to enjoy the day even though I was in my room. Yet there was still privacy."

The room we got had a poor view was smaller.TV nearly fell off the table didn't fit could not turn it left or right.also was all Dusty could have been cleaner no silverware ln the room was stuck using plastic utensils no dish soap ect.not the 5 star severice we have gotten there in the past! "We booked last minute and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and amenities provided (e.g. yoga mat). Very clean, good size room, comfortable bed, warm cookies, very walkable to the promenade and also a lot of restaurants. Only thing that could have been better was the breakfast. Everything else was great!"

"I thought I was booking a room at the historic McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel. Our room ended up being in the annex next door. I asked if I clicked to choose the annex accidentally and was told that they randomly book folks into there. I should have called to specify. Oh, I didn't know. Next time."

"We enjoyed our stay, but on our way home received a $50 charge without any notice or invoice. When I reached out, I was told we were being charged for a blanket that had a burn hole and was “coated in sand”. I informed them that we noticed a burn hole in the blanket when we opened it up to use it on the sofa bed, but didn’t complain since it had been laundered. No one in my family smokes, we only used their blankets on the coach and beds. We brought a beach blanket from home to use outside. They...

"Love the location of this hotel. The staff were friendly and they had free salmon chowder when we checked in. My son said it was the best soup he’s ever had!! It was delicious!!"

"I've stayed at The River Inn a few times. I go twice a year for a convention. I like the fact it's only 1 block off the main street and walking distance to many shops and eateries. I think the price is good for what you get. It is clean, the people are friendly, the price is right and they have an adequate breakfast."
