"It was fine. Honestly, this hotel was WAY overpriced. Pretty much on par with any Quality Inn or La Quinta type of hotel, but they charge 4-star hotel prices. The room was very basic. They gave us free snacks in the room, which was nice -- but certainly not worth paying close to $500 a night. We paid that price for a gorgeous boutique hotel in Manhattan, and this place wasn't even close to being that level of hotel. "Super friendly staff! Cozy B&B feel. Great location, walk to town or train station! LIRR and Pines super convenient. Amazing authentic chef made-to-order breakfast!! (And fresh artisanal continental breakfast included). Awesome and cozy speakeasy-style lounge, with special entertainment nights (check in advance). Perfect for short or longer stays. And great as a gateway to Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove (5 mins to ferry! shuttle-style service avail). Huge clean room. Washer dryer....

"The room was very clean, and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was well maintained. we love that we have access to hot water for tea and coffee available throughout the day. We've stayed there 4 times so far and will continue to do so every time we visit Long Island, NY."

"The promo on Expedia said was near the beach.....was at least 1 mile away. The "included" breakfast consisted of brown bananas, soft apples, white bread and OJ. The main door into out room wasn't sealed. Light came in the room at night, bugs crawled underneath the door, etc. EVERYTHING was dirty.....bathroom, sheets, curtains, floor, on and on...."

"Coming from out of town I had no idea what to expect. It was probably one of the most outdated and least maintained hotels I have ever experienced. Trash all over the exterior, no hot water in our room, no daily cleaning service. The rooms have not been updated in about 20 years. The room next to us had the window open to the exterior and all I could see was mold and the ceiling completely torn apart. I highly recommend not staying here."

"Stayed here 5nights while visiting family living nearby. Good size king room, very clean and fantastic staff. The ladies who run the breakfast buffet are great! Housekeeping is awesome. On site laundry on 3rd floor is handy and area was also clean. It’s run remotely by an app you can download to your smartphone. We’d definitely stay here again."
