Parklands Motel
8/10 Good
"The owners checked us in and were extremely helpful with dining options. The room was nice. Ours was small but comfortable, although the furniture was a bit dated. Be sure to bring your wine glasses if you drink the local wines as they are not provided in the kitchen or room. The kitchen is shared with other clients. If you need to store refrigerator items the kitchen refrigerator is bigger than your room. and the freezer is large as well. This was handy. Housekeeping is not daily, but I’m sure the managers are happy to oblige if you need clean towels, etc. The shower was terrific and the bathroom looked newly renovated and was lovely. I would stay again."
Lakefront Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lakefront Lodge was a perfect overnight stay for us while in Te Anau. The staff were very helpful and kind. There was no issue leaving a bag overnight while we stayed on Doubtful Sound. The location is great for a lakefront walk and close to the amenities of town. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. There were cooking facilities although we didn't use them. Would stay again."
Anchorage Motel Apartments

"Great place to stay! Staff extremely friendly and helpful offering lots of suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Room was spacious and nice with lovely coffee on offer too."
Kingsgate Hotel Te Anau

Tasman Holiday Parks - Te Anau
8/10 Good
"I stayed in one of the cabins for two nights in October 2026. It was lovely and clean, and quiet. I had everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Mike who I met on arrival. It’s is within walking distance to the shopping area and the lakefront. I would definitely recommend staying there and will do so myself."
Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels
10/10 Excellent
"Stunning property, lake views were phenomenal! Family room was spacious and very well appointed, super comfy beds and cleaned beautifully. A little further out of town but still close enough to walk, worth it for the views! Would definitely stay here again."
Distinction Te Anau Hotel And Villas
10/10 Excellent
"El Hotel está muy bien ubicado y creo que es el más bonito de la ciudad tiene un muy buen desayuno, aunque ya se ven un poco viejas las instalaciones el gimnasio está en otro Hotel de la misma cadena y deja mucho que desear las vistas que tiene el Hotel son bonitas"
Manapouri Holiday Park
8/10 Good
"Quaint little cottages in the Holiday Park set in a stunning landscape. The rooms are fantatsic, suit the purpose and are in a quanit setting. The only drawback was the isolated location with no close by supermarket or grocery store. If travelking with kids, make sure to top up your supplies."
Fiordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"This was one of our favorite stays in New Zealand. The lake view is so beautiful and the grounds were absolutely stunning in March with cherry trees blooming. We appreciated how close we were to the town center and enjoyed eating at the Ranch and watching the movie at the Black Dog. We had an overnight cruise planned to Doubtful Sound so at the staff's suggestion we drove to Milford sound to take in the views. That was a remarkable day that we would have missed out on otherwise. We were able to wash our clothes at their laundry facility for free and drying was a nominal charge. We had a very restful stay and highly recommend this location for your visit to Te Anau."
