"This is advertised as a hotel. It’s NOT. BUT…a load of brand new apartments, unsold, that are rented out. Check in at front desk - NO. Some guy who came down in lift, then showed us to a locked apartment. We had to go to another (smaller) room. The same guy failed ‘twice’ to meet us next day to ‘check out’ and return the cash deposit. Still waiting for this to arrive in my account. The ‘one night’ flight-layover will be at a different place next time."

All communication regarding check-in and check-out was handled smoothly via WhatsApp. The responses were very quick, and they provided clear instructions along with a helpful PDF guide with images. "We needed a place to stay between flights. Ibis Styles is worthy of being a destination. The main pool is probably the largest pool I have seen at a hotel. The water was too warm for me to do much swimming but my spouse loved it. The three small waterfalls provided great back massages. An oasis located close to the airport. If we come back to Asia and include KL on our agenda, would want to stay here a few days instead of just overnight."
