Stopover in Tamworth

Overnight stay at a major renovated hotel on the outskirts of Tamworth. Wonderful bed linen and towels and water pressure. Very quiet room and mod cons. . We had dinner at the upmarket restaurant and the service was great in beautiful surroundings.

Well appointed rooms with all the amenities. 24hr check in Comfortable beds and pillows with aircon and fans for temperature control. Meals at the restaurant were amazing and room service food was of equal quality. The only issue we had was no parking on site one night due to a wedding in the function room. We had to park on the road which was not acceptable with such a high room rate $$

The only thing the receptionist asked me when I checked in was if I would like to make a reservation for dinner, she told me nothing about the facilities that were available, didn’t give me any map or information about what was on the grounds, she was very pleasant though

An outstanding property, beautifully appointed and maintained. A truly five star hotel in the middle of the country. The styling, attention to detail, cleanliness, options for dining, comfort and quality of accommodation are a credit to the staff and Management of the Powerhouse. Having stayed in the finest chain hotels worldwide, it’s so surprising to me that this hotel is in my top five and only one of two outside a capital city. Well done to the Powerhouse Tamworth. Outstanding quality and value with effortless, friendly and professional service. Cannot fault this property (which is a first for me in thirty years of travel). The apartments are superb in every way as a tip for room choice.

Really pleased with our stay. Family room was perfect for us (2 adults/2 children). Cleanliness was of a very high standard with comfortable beds. Staff were very helpful, even when they were experiencing technical difficulties (due to world-wide IT meltdown -no fault of the hotel!) I forgot an item in the hotel. They located it and they are now posting it back to me - it was no trouble and I really appreciated that they held onto my item. We had room service one night and also breakfast in the restaurant. The food was delicious. I also had a little look at the gym/pool/spa/sauna facilities. All looked great! Pool isn’t heated but in the winter time you could definitely have a sauna / spa & get a nice workout in. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
