Wonderful stay if you are looking for more “authentic” accommodations. By US standards, rooms were very small, bed was very firm and also small. Couldn’t get TV to work but could have been user error. Staff welcomed you with customary tea (delicious by the way). We loved it.

the people in this Riad were so kind and thoughtful. i arrived there kind of late and the taxi dropped me off outside the medina. abdul from riad came to take me there. when i got there everyone greeted me as if i was a friend visiting!!! they took me to my room and when i asked to change my room for personal reason, they were so cool about it and did it with no fuss. roads are in medina so taxi can't go to the door of riad. the breakfast was amazing and everything was so clean and original. highly recommend it

The location was amazing! Abdelilah was extremely helpful, and would go out of his way to help us, truly made our stay phenomenal! It was so relaxing drinking mint tea on the rooftop every night.

We had a wonderful experience. The owners hosted all the hotel guests for a delicious Friday night meal on the roof. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel. All free with the price of the room.

The staff…and I mean every one of them…were so welcoming and helpful. They will even walk with you to show you how to get around the Medina! This Riad is very clean, and the food is great too. I strongly recommend this place!

Breakfast at Zoco Riad was a real highlight of our whole trip! The staff are lovely and riad itself was gorgeous. The rooms are small which is to be expected with a riad, they still have everything you need including air con so no complaints at all! Would highly recommend staying here

This property was in the best location, the interior was beautifully decorated, and everyone was kind and made us feel welcome. I appreciated the clean white towels and very clean room. There were too many small details they took care of that made our stay pleasant and our trip perfect.

This is the place to stay if you want a genuine experience in the souk of Tangier’s ancient Medina. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our arrival from Madrid was delayed until after midnight but the staff organized a taxi pickup that personally walked us through the souk and delivered us to the front door. The hotel is a traditional Moroccan hotel that serves a wonderful breakfast and a light dinner on the rooftop on Friday nights. The hotel is located in within 10 minutes walk of the Kasbah and within 30 minutes walk to the beach front.

I enjoyed my stay here. I especially liked the rooftop and its location in the Medina. I am now in Fes, in a different riad which is bigger and has a pool. But I like Zoco Riad better. Cozier, good atmosphere being in the Medina, the rooftop is nice for sea breezes, and breakfast is easier because the Riad is more compact. Breakfast was very good and filling. The only downside is that it is probably not as quiet as staying in a hotel.

Zoco Riad was a delight. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and the hotel terrace directly outside our door was a treat to enjoy before and after the start of our day. Breakfast was delicious - an assortment of breads, spreads and cheese, egg, fruit, orange juice, water, and - of course - mint tea. Tip: request one set of bread for two or even three people. It was impossible to eat everything, as much as I wanted to. Also, if you have mobility issues or large luggage, verify the location of your room. Ours was on the top floor, which made taking just a day pack for “luggage” fortuitous. Zoco Riad is a “will return” destination.
