"Great location! walk downtown shops and restaurants . Could walk a mile to tanglewood if feeling brave. I did not but others staying at hotel did to avoid concert traffic. The inn keeper seemed a bit overwhelmed and perhaps not enough staff to turn over the inn for arriving guests . He was in communication with me and trying his best. "Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The grounds are so beautiful . There were a number of lovely places inside and out for sitting and relaxing. We loved the welcome drink and a bottle of wine ( choice of red or white) to have in our room. We enjoyed it on our balcony with its lovely views of the main house and the yard. Unfortunately we couldn’t attend the cognac tasting as we were busy. I would love to come to the Cornell again-and again!"

"I usually stay here and yes staff are nice and rooms are decent but I’ve seen a decline in amenities. Maybe the expense of things - bathrobe in room, water and snacks were what I was used to seeing .in the room."

"The room we had was spacious, and there are nice outdoor sitting areas. Breakfast is placed in your refrigerator and in a basket the day before. If you are hoping for a charming Berkshire bed and breakfast with a cooked breakfast and interaction with your host, you will be disappointed. "Had a wonderful stay. The property is charming, elegant, and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful Berkshires setting. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everything from the comfortable room to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay exceeded expectations. "GFI in bathroom was inoperative. Room had no Smoke detector. Bathroom exhaust seemed to be blocked. Bathroom door does not close. Main entry door hits the floor. Overall conditions seemed to be shabby."

"The hotel charged 669 w posted room rate of 429 For 669 they noted that the hot water capacity was challenged when hotel was at 100% capacity Also our toilet ran and we had to open up tank to adjust this was for 669/ night It should be adjusted to the max rate of 429 that was on room inside door"

"The Chambery Inn is in a great location to explore downtown Lee and attend shows at Tanglewood. Would recommend the Chambery to anyone coming to the Berkshires."

"The hotel is easy to find. It is clean, neat, and tidy. We checked in early - great! My one concern is the 800 grit sandpaper for toilet paper. Motel 6 uses better toilet paper. Unfortunately, the bean counters won. They have a great price on toilet paper, and the property suffers as a result. Everyone and everything was great. The toilet paper was from the 1950's - honest. Sorry to have to report this. Hopefully, this will get someon's attention."
