"Hot tub was out of order. Carpet in the room was coming up off the floor, bathroom door wasn’t latching shut and we had to go get a full set of towels from the desk upon check in as there weren’t any in the bathroom."
"I would like a refund. I ended up paying for a room we didn't use, because the cancellation period was no longer applicable once (24 hours before arrival), and the pictures provided of the property did NOT represent what we saw and experienced.
There were a number of safety concerns that made this hotel unworkable for us. The side door (where we were told to park as it was closest to our room) had an electronic key lock for security, but it was propped open and didn't close properly when I tried to secure it. The parking lot had a broken off concrete stub where the streetlight used to be, so there was no light for coming and going from the car to the hotel. (This was of particular concern, since we were in town for a family member's surgery, and I would be returning to the hotel alone that night while she stayed at the hospital.) Also, although I can't definitively blame the hotel for this, the place seemed totally deserted. Two cars and a worker's truck were the only vehicles in the large parking lot.
There were several problematic maintenance issues. The exterior entrance had cups and fast food containers littered around and the garbage bin was overflowing. There was dirt (or maybe dark chips) out of the toilet seat in the room they assigned us. There was a discarded washing machine on its side, cracks in the cement, and overgrown weeds throughout the parking lot, which contained only two cars aside from ours. Nope.
We felt neither safe nor comfortable and left."
"Every tile in the bathroom was loose. Only one outlet worked in the room besides what the TV was plugged into. The smoke alarm was hanging off the wall. The TV and remote did not work properly at all. The staff member at the front desk had both of his air pods in even when trying to speak to him."
"Stayed there for a quick overnight in passing. Room 116 was bad. There were visual stains from a couples stay previously in the first bad (closest to the door). Bathroom was not clean! The toilet seat had a big red stain running the width of the whole cover and was wider than a shoe. The floors in the bathroom looked like they had not been cleaned in quite a while.
The overall room / stay would not have been bad, but when you are staying somewhere for a quick sleep and go, the 2 most important parts are the bed and bathroom. This room lacked in both of those.
The gentleman who checked us in was still there when we left and was very nice. We mentioned the issues upon leaving and he seemed almost shocked, so maybe this is an enigma, but we will not be visiting this hotel on our next stay in Peoria.
A side note on the overall hotel. If you don't mind the small of marijuana while walking down the hall to your room, the hallway isn't bad. "
"Their amenities listed are completely false. From no beach access due to health concerns all the way to no wi-fi. Would strongly suggest to go elsewhere unless you enjoy being freezing cold all night and buying your own toilet paper."
