Stayed 4 nights during November 2025
Our stay at Castalia Apartments was mixed. While the location was convenient, the apartment itself had several drawbacks:
• The entrance to the building was very dark, with no lighting available.
• We experienced a few short power outages and, more significantly, lost hot water for about 12 hours due to an electrical issue with the water heater.
• The apartment did not offer any view, which was disappointing given Taormina’s scenic surroundings.
On the positive side, the owner was extremely responsive and proactive. Each time an issue arose, he arrived within 30 minutes to address it. He was also flexible and accommodating with our late check-in at 9 PM, which we appreciated.
Overall, while the apartment had some challenges, the owner’s attentiveness and flexibility stood out as a positive.
